It's all organic.
Pure Sumac is listed as one of the ingredients on the package. On the package, there is no mention of salt. br>Edited on May 5, 2017: Last year, I decided to focus on herbal teas and yerba mate instead of selling this product. I'm sorry, but I don't have any new information on the salt content.
The shelf life of most products is four years.
I don't see any indication of a time limit. I keep 2 ounces in my spice cabinet and the rest in the freezer, replenishing the 2 ounces as needed.

It contains salt, despite the fact that it claims to be salt-free on the label. br>br>DO NOT PURCASE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SALT REPLACEMENT. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but I suppose it makes no difference.
My daughter enjoys experimenting with different cultures' cuisines. She wanted this spice to make sumac chicken, a Palestinian dish served by the parents of a high school friend when she visited, and she's made it twice since receiving it, and it's quickly become a family favorite. br>br>It's a deep, rich color with a pleasant scent. It's got a tangy, almost lemon-like flavor to it. It has a flavor that goes well with chicken. We're trying out more recipes that incorporate it now that we've discovered it.
However, I don't care for it in spicy foods. br>Because this is a large bottle, I'll probably transfer some to a smaller bottle and freeze the rest. Sumac is a good freeze-dried ingredient. It's something I've done a lot of times. The only reason I gave this brand a 4 instead of a 5 is because it contains salt. I'm curious as to how much it costs. I would not have ordered it if I had known. When I use it, I'll have to keep in mind not to salt it. The flavor and aroma, on the other hand, are fantastic.
I roast a small lamb, serve it over rice with onions and roasted tomatoes, and it's pure bliss. I used to get it from a Middle Eastern grocery store, but they are no longer in business. So I decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you, it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It's of good quality, and the bottle is quite large. I use quite a bit, and I'm only halfway through. The tangy flavor lasts without leaving an aftertaste. br>br>I highly recommend this product; it is well worth the money. THIS IS MY FOURTH ORDER, and each one has exceeded my expectations.
The sumac was a little moist, but I'm not sure if that's normal for this spice, and it made pouring from a shaker a little difficult, but it tastes great and the price is right. You're getting 6x the value for your money compared to almost any other Amazon option, and I'm not sure I'd notice the difference. This is most likely going to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me!.
wished for purity. To add salt to the mix is the second ingredient. no good. pure sumac was what I was looking for.
It's also a healthier option than adding extra salt (I have to limit my sodium intake). br>br>I ordered the Sadaf sumac from Amazon because I live in a rural area of the United States where such "exotic" spices are hard to come by. Yes, it's 100% natural, delicious, and of excellent quality! At $1, it's also a bit pricey. Each ounce costs $46. I recently had the opportunity to visit a well-known historical site while on vacation. I discovered sumac for $0. 50 at a well-known Lebanese grocery store in Brooklyn. Each ounce costs $38. Ordering Sadaf sumac from Amazon is a great option for those of us who can't get it any other way, but first check to see if sumac is available locally and at a lower cost.
When I received the package, the seal had been broken. The next time I buy something like this, I'll go to the store rather than Amazon.
