Sumac is not real. Purchase is not recommended. The texture is strange, as real sumac is a fine powder, and it has been added salt. This was lumpy crystals that turned food purple instead of the dark reddish hue that real sumac imparts.

The flavor was synthetic and stale.
I haven't had much experience with this spice, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it tastes good. I just wish it was ground a little finer. It's a bit of a corse grind because it's so hot.
This is my first time using the service. I didn't get as clear as I had hoped, but I didn't have a frame of reference.
This was repulsive, like a chemical equivalent of sumac.
I was ecstatic to discover that Amazon had it in stock once more.
