Sumac isn't the same as the real thing

Sumac is not real. Purchase is not recommended. The texture is strange, as real sumac is a fine powder, and it has been added salt. This was lumpy crystals that turned food purple instead of the dark reddish hue that real sumac imparts.

I was aware that the product could not be returned, but I was pleasantly surprised by what we received

1. There were two compartments on the tope, both for spice shakers, but neither had an opening for a measuring teaspoon.
2. br>3. The top seal was broken. sumac in its raw form? I'm at a loss for words. It appears chunky and contains small sticksbr>4. smell? I'm not sure I'm comfortable using this product, which is why you didn't give it a flavor rating. br>This is a depressing resultbr>RKW.

Although the flavor is good, the ground size is too large for my needs

I haven't had much experience with this spice, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it tastes good. I just wish it was ground a little finer. It's a bit of a corse grind because it's so hot.
