Product Description

The black sesame seeds are unhulled (the outer shell of the seed remains intact), so they are more crunchy and have a stronger nutty flavor. These seeds are used as an ingredient for encrusting fish and chicken and can be used to enhance the aesthetics of dishes such as stir-fries. Their color also makes them popular for use as a garnish.

In the hulled white seeds are often mixed with unhulled black seeds for color - either in place of or in addition to them.

The best way to get the full flavor is to toast them! I use Simply Organic herbs and dry spices in my pantry and I am always satisfied with their quality for my cooking! Usually, I get white sesame seeds from the brand, but I decided to change things up and get black sesame seeds

With this brand, I make Everything but the Bagel Seasoning, which contains dried onion, garlic, black and white sesame seeds, and poppy seeds. Simple Organic was the best black sesame seed I found to be the least expensive and of the highest quality.

Yum. You can add these to poke bowls for a nice crunch or add them to wraps for a tasty snack. To give them a little more flavor, we toast them as well. Here, your price is better than anywhere in the area, especially the local grocery stores.
