Summer Savory-4oz-Adds Subtle Herb Flavor

In stores, Summer Savory is almost impossible to find nowadays, so I was very happy to find it here. Sadly, this plant has a greater concentration of stems than leaves, and its use is confined to soups that can cook the stems for a reasonable amount of time. The stems were never soft enough to allow me to eat them to make it edible. I used this herb in my deviled eggs. I cannot return the product, so I am left with no choice but to bear it.

It seems like a decent deal and shipping took a little while, but it did arrive. As far as I am concerned, the product is full of very sharp stems and is not ground down at all, so you can be sure to get a mouth full of splinters every time you put it in your soup. It has never happened in a meal that I have made in which I haven't ended up with this stuck in my fingers as I tried to grind it up or stuck in my mouth. The fact that it is not better handled is unfortunate considering I love savory foods. This is the last time I'll purchase from this supplier.

The kind of food you don't often see in your local supermarket. Herbs that have a lesser use tend to grab my attention. The herb marjoram goes first before the herb oregano. Allspice goes first on the To create a more subtle taste, I prefer Savory over Sage. You can use it as a bread dressing or as a rub on meats. Once cooked, it offers a good aroma and boosts the taste of the herb. The texture is a bit coarse for salads, but it goes well with a light olive oil or vinaigrette When you use the bag, you will be glad you purchased the larger size. My package just arrived and I was dismayed to learn it was packaged on the same equipment as three major allergens, according to the packaging. In any case, I would have avoided this product if the packaging labels had been mentioned in the description or if a photo of them had been included. I will have to give this away to someone else, but if you do not have allergies, perhaps it would be a good item to consider. It smells wonderfully fresh, is quite large and seems like a great product.

My experiences as the owner of my own restaurant and manager of another have given me the opportunity to buy spices from a variety My lifetime experience has led me to believe that this is the worst spice I have The Summer Savory looks like it is nothing more than floor sweepings because it is crammed with stem pieces like shards. Although it was cheap, you still get what you pay for, and the only way to find out was to try it out. There is only one thing I can say, don't risk it. You shouldn't buy this substandard product. I'm going to make tea from these floor sweepings, so maybe not all will be lost after all!.

Currently, I cannot find summer savory because we use it for a very specific recipe and it is very hard to find (because it differs from Considering the size and amount of food here, I decided to take a chance ordering it. It turned out to be summer savory after all. I like the flavor of this product, but I found some stems in it compared to other brands I've had. However, because it is so difficult to find summer savory and this is indeed summer savory, I'm giving it 5 out of 5 stars. In the future, I hope to not have to purchase such a large amount (but it is such a large amount that I won't usually need to buy again for a long time).

There is no doubt this is not a widely used herb, but it is very good on greens. The product is also very good for the price offered by DenverSpice.
