My experience with this product has been the same as with other Sodium nitrate products I've Curing meat with salt is not the same as seasoning meat. Suitable for use on animals, but not for humans. The correct term is sodium nitrate, not sodium chloride. You cannot use table salt to cure meat.

A few episodes ago, "America's Test Kitchen" had a segment on how to make your own corned beef. We decided to order the "pink salt" after watching the segment. It was only pink salt that couldn't be found locally, so we ordered it from the internet. The food arrived promptly, and we had our own corned beef that we had brined. I had an amazing time!
