This bagel seasoning mix is delicious. The ingredients appear to be in good condition, and the dish isn't overly salty. The garlic overpowers the other flavors, which makes sense given how strong it is in comparison to the other ingredients' milder flavors. I would use less garlic if I were making my own mix, but it's fine as is. br>br>I used it to top some gluten-free pizzas. Bagels were provided for free, as was pizza crust, because why not? After that, make bagels out of it. Brush the tops with water and sprinkle the bagel seasoning mix on top, pressing it down with your fingers as needed to adhere. Allow to rise in a warm place before baking at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. br>br>Preheat an oiled cast iron pan and press the dough into it to make a pizza crust. After that, wet the edges with water and sprinkle the bagel seasoning mix on top. Heat the pan on the stove for a few minutes, then let the crust rise and partially bake before adding the toppings and finishing baking. (Baking it before topping it keeps it from becoming soggy. ).

The bag does not include an ingredient list. This was a stale mix. Unfortunately, while the bag was sealed, the packaging was minimal, and the contents could not have been adequately protected while sitting in a warehouse if that's what happened. The material was thin and allowed light to pass through, which degrades micronutrients in food more quickly than most people realize. The seeds in bagel seasoning are all susceptible to rancidity and should be stored in a cool, dark environment immediately after dehulling and processing. Furthermore, because bagel seasoning has a higher fat content than other seasonings, rancidity and age degrade its flavor significantly. br>Apart from the flat, rancid flavor, there was no ingredient list on this mix, which may seem insignificant for a self-made product. Different companies take liberties with the traditional recipe and can add things like sugar, oil, added flavoring, or other unwanted ingredients, such as Everything But the Bagel seasoning. This had a fairly even ratio of seeds to onion flakes, but aside from being old, it didn't seem to have as much flavor as other EBTB seasonings that have the right amount of salt, onion, and other ingredients mixed in. br>I wouldn't buy from this company again unless I knew I was getting a fresh product and the company declared all of its ingredients fully and transparently.

This is possibly my least favorite everything bagel seasoning. Before I tasted it, I baked with it. That's not something I usually do, but you get my drift. Everything needs to be spiced up. I had a single taste of it. My fingers are pressed together in a pinch. It has a strong saltiness to it. I even shook the bag to see if there was any salt on top and hoped it would settle to the bottom before trying again. It was still salty, and it was still a little bit salty. unappealing? br>br>I like that it's garlic and onion-forward, but there's something off about it that I can't quite place. Is it possible that it's a smoky smell? But it isn't; perhaps it is because it reminds me of something. I haven't decided yet. The bread was actually quite good; in fact, my husband declared it to be the best he'd ever had. I make a lot of everything bagels, but I'm not sure this is something I'd like to put on them. They're a lot smaller than the loaf, and I'm not sure they'll be able to balance. There's a lot of flavor packed into this dish. And it takes a lot of effort to put a bad topping on a bagel. br>br>If you like strong, salty flavors, this could be a good fit. It's quite a large tote. Poppy and sesame seeds are among the items in my pantry. I'm going to experiment with mixing it in to see if it helps to calm down the flavor.

This is the basic everything bagel seasoning mix, and you can taste the garlic, onion, and salt. It has just the right amount of salt and a flavor combination that is fairly well balanced. The sesame and poppy seeds add texture to the dish. br>br>Here's how I went about doing it: br>Since discovering everything bagel seasoning, I've been sprinkling it on everything. Eggs, potatoes, and salads are all on the menu. My favorite way to use this seasoning was to sprinkle it on top of my lunch salad, followed by a squeeze of lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil. It was a pleasant experience. It provides crunch and flavor without requiring the preparation of a dressing.
