In a phone call with the company, I was told the seeds were unwashed, but smelled of pepper. Is there any way I can get an honest answer from someone?

Any poppy seeds I use, I always press them through a fine mesh strainer before I use them. So far as I can tell, they are organic and unwashed.

Do these seeds have a white or a black color?

If you can find some at whole foods or any place similar, do yourself a favor and buy some.

Is this a type of flower species? Could you please tell me which one it What species of poppy is it? Is it a Papaver rhoeas (corn poppy) or a Papaver Somniferum seed?

I have papaver somniferum in my hand.

Fresh and organic are not the same thing, and the smell is strangely sweet and chemical, which is different from Chemical smell with an odd sweet taste

This is horrible. It is usually the case with poppy seeds that ORGANIC SEEDS are unprocessed, but these seeds are highly processed, with no brown plant debris as in REAL ORGANIC (MEANING UNSIFTED UNWASHED BY HUMAN HAND). If you are not a fan of pepper-flavored poppy cakes, do not buy this product.

WAKE UP OR YOU WILL WASTE YOUR $$$! THOSE ARE THE WORST SO-CALLED "ORGANIC" POPPY SEEDS I HAVE EVER COME IN CONTACT WITH! The seeds you can buy at the grocery store are much better! The money you have is going down the toilet! It just tasted weird, smelled weird, and was just all wrong!
