It only says "packaged in the United States," which is a common statement used by companies to conceal products imported from China or elsewhere that they don't want to admit to.
The phrase "packed in the United States" is ambiguous, indicating that the product is most likely from outside the United States. It would be proud to say that it was grown in the United States.
Yes, 1/2 teaspoon equals about 1 garlic clove, according to the recipe.

My jar had leaked all over my package when it arrived. When I attempted to replace it, I was informed that no returns were available. This makes me angry.
But you spent the time and effort to grow organic garlic, only to store it in a plastic jar that will absorb chemicals? If I had known, I would not have ordered it.
The flavor is underwhelming, and the small pieces of garlic do not soften well when sauteed. It's also necessary to rinse the product to remove the citric acid, which could explain why the flavor isn't particularly appealing; I won't buy it again.
This garlic is absolutely delicious. In our house, we consume a lot of garlic. I only wish it had been packaged in glass rather than plastic, which is why I docked one star. Please, Spice World, pay attention and make organic garlic available in a large glass container. Glass is available in smaller sizes, but not in the larger ones.
I immediately threw it away. The preservatives probably contributed to the bland and strange flavor. As a result of the lack of a star, it may have specific applications. But not for everyday cooking; it's better to use paste or fresh (obviously).
I was specifically looking for minced garlic in oil (so that when you add it to a hot saute pan, the garlic and water don't explode when they meet the hot oil). I used filters to narrow down my options and ordered this product, but when it arrived today, I discovered it was packed in water, and I can't return it because it's unopened. When I went back to look at the listing, there was no mention of it being packed in water. Because all of the other options were dripping with oil, I made a bad assumption. They don't mention oil or water, which appears to be a bit deceptive. So I squandered $12 and went with a different brand; additionally, the container smells like it was exposed to garlic or leaked, similar to another review. I'm hoping you won't make the same error I did.
UPDATE: Amazon fulfilled the order, and a chat session (with an associate) resulted in a promise to correct the description as well as a refund! Thanks. br>br>Came packaged with the rest of my order, but there was only one 32oz (2) plastic jar in the box. Despite the fact that the online description still states "2 pound, pack of two," the illustration only shows one. br>br>It appears to be "not eligible for return or replacement," so there's no easy way to get fulfillment to fix it - I guess I'll have to contact the vendor on my own. Since I only required one, a partial refund would be acceptable - It's only $5, so it's all about the principle.
. If the problem is fixed, I'll give it a higher rating!.
Amazon has taken over the position. This garlic is one of my favorites. The internal seal on this order, however, had already been broken when it arrived. I should have taken a screen shot, but I was so disgusted that I just threw it away. This isn't good enough, Amazon. For getting a broken seal, you get a star. br>br>Amazon customer service is no longer available. This garlic is one of my favorites. A lot of garlic is used in my cooking. Because I lack the manual dexterity necessary to smash and mash as much as I do, this method works. The rating has been updated.
