It's delicious! Excellent for dipping fresh bread in olive oil, as some authentic Italian restaurants do. This is also what we use to top homemade stromboli with. The flavors are fantastic; however, keep an eye on the salt because they can be a little salty.
This unique quartet of seasoning spice mixes is absolutely the best; I've been using them for years and am surprised that they're no longer available in the grocery stores where we shop. For me, DeLallo is unquestionably a high-end brand. Many other DeLallo products are available, but this is one that I use frequently, so the fact that I couldn't find them was disappointing. They're perfect as a side dish with garlic bread. This year, I ordered three and placed two in stockings as Christmas gifts, and they were well received. I decided to keep the third. Despite the fact that I "found" them and ordered them just before Christmas, they arrived on time (as promised). I'm still in awe.
For a rehearsal dinner, we used these seasonings in an Italian meal. We made homemade bread sticks and ordered dipping bowls from Amazon, arranging them on the tables in various flavors. The oils were a hit with everyone, and they received a lot of positive feedback. We were so taken with the flavor that we ate almost the entire cannister at dinner. We purchased an extra to give as a date night gift to the couple. I would suggest it. I looked into the price and found it to be a good deal for what you get; we enjoyed all of the flavor combinations.
My husband and I originally purchased these from our local high-end store, but the ugh no longer carries them. br>When I found these on AMAZON, I was overjoyed and purchased TWO canisters right away. Not only do these seasonings pair well with olive oil and bread, but I've also used them to season vegetables and marinate meat for grilling! Seasonings are fantastic, and the company is even better!.
This is something we really enjoy doing. Enjoying crusty bread and dipping oil with a glass of wine is one of our Friday night traditions; it's a relaxing way to end the week, and this is our favorite dipping oil spice! Highly recommended!.
I'm glad a friend suggested this product to me. Pour a small amount of the combo spice into a dipping plate, then wait a minute for the spices to soften before dipping a fresh slice of baguette, preferably warm, and enjoying. Warning - The flavor is so good that you might just eat bread for dinner!.
Spices are fantastic in all kinds of cooking, not just for dipping bread. Because the description is so misleading, I gave it four stars. I've bought these spices a few times in the last seven years or so. They arrived in packs of three or four each time. Only one person showed up this time; The description, however, states that there are four.
It's so tasty! It's fun to try new breads and just mop this stuff up like crazy, so we bought the four little saucers to go with it so we could have each flavor each time. Since then, we've purchased a plethora of additional containers, and they've become a permanent fixture in our cabinet!.
