It's excellent, according to me! A fiber additive for loaves of bread just recently came into my possession. This is the first loaf I've made, and I'm pleased at how it turned out We've had it every day this week for lunch, and we're not complaining!
I presume it is cold milled since it says on the back of the packet, "Our proprietary flax milling machinery keeps the meal cool.". The website says We use high quality golden flax and grind it at a cool temperature to preserve the oil and make the nutrients more bioavailable.
As of May 2020, expiration dates appeared on the bags I ordered in June 2019. It's best to keep them in the refrigerator. It is the closure of this product that makes it so awesome- VELCRO is very easy to open and close, with very few tools needed. I like it a lot!

My husband and I started using this product a couple of years ago after we tried over-the-counter acid reflux medications. I like it very much, at least for me. Even though I gave it five stars for flavor, it was the lack of flavor that I found disappointing. My favorite part of trying this golden flaxseed meal is how it blends into your morning cereal, yogurt, stews, etc. I've tried the regular flaxseed before and didn't like the flavor so I stop buying it.
It could have been a little bit finer for the plain bread but it works perfectly for banana bread.
I like this product, primarily because I like golden flax varieties, and this company has ground flax from which I usually buy. There is great quality in the product. As I took responsibility for not reading carefully enough when ordering online, this particular package is very big, and it got me thinking that it would be useful to see an indicator burst on the packaging itself that says 'large size' or something of the sort. It had never occurred to me to go to the store and see the large size since I have only ever seen the smaller size I think I have a lot of flax ground up. Even though I am aware of larger packages, I didn't know they conclude, it's a great value, and I'm thankful for it, but I use a teaspoon of it every day, so it's a bit more than I had.
The benefits are that you get more fiber in your diet and that it also avoids gluten issues. This brand has the best quality overall, and that is the most important factor to me.
