Because I have a FoodSaver, I simply resealed the bag after removing the amount I needed to keep them as fresh as possible. These seeds have not been irradiated in any way. When pickle season arrives, I'll be back to purchase more. It comes highly recommended!.

When I make mid-season salads, I use dill seeds instead of fresh dill. I'm looking for dill essence because I'm brining cucumbers in the winter. These seeds work well because they appear to be fresh and full of flavor, so I lightly grind them in my coffee grinder and add them to the brine. Frontier has proven to be reliable in terms of packaging and freshness.

It is a good deal

Pickles are fantastic. I'm a pickle maker who makes a lot of them. Lots. Those insignificant details. I go through one quart of 5 oz "jars" in the spice aisle, so it's not cost effective. However, the dill flavor is good, the packaging was fine, and I'll definitely buy again.
