Questions & Answers
They are seeds that have been dried. I wouldn't recommend planting them because they may be exposed to heat for drying.
Not sure.
Every herb has a different effect on different ailments. To release more oil, I crush or grind the dill seed first.
These are what I use for cooking, and while they might work for gardening, I would recommend using a pre-packaged seed.

I'd never had a dill seed that I didn't like before this. This surprised me because I usually buy Frontier brand in my neighborhood stores. When I first opened the bag, I noticed that the seeds were completely flat. I then placed one on my tongue, and the salty flavor was immediately noticeable. Ugh! After that, I chewed on that seed and a few others. What do you think a completely flat seed would look like? What a waste of money, with a flat taste. Maybe I'll season my popcorn with these seeds? Anyway, I find it difficult to believe this is a Frontier seed. To offset the discount normally associated with bulk purchases, Frontier must bulk package a lower quality seed? Frontier should give bulk products a flavor quality rating, in my opinion.
I ordered organic whole dill seeds from Amazon, as described in the listing. Cooperative on the Frontier "Dill Seed Whole, Certified Organic" was printed on the package of op, indicating the same. "Indian Sarsaparilla Root" was written on the package. I opened it just to be sure, and since I had the option of returning or replacing it, I did so. Sure enough, it was Indian Sarsaparilla Root. It smells great, but it's clearly the wrong product; I'm disappointed and sad right now.
It has excellent flavor, freshness, and quality, as well as being organic. What is there not to like about this? I've been fermenting for a while and have only recently begun my quest to make fermented dill pickles that taste like the ones my mother used to make. While I'm still experimenting with flavors (so close! ), I thought I'd share what I've come up with so far. ), having a good quantity and quality of dill seed to work with is extremely helpful. Buying it in the tiny bottle that my local supermarket sells is so expensive! This is a better quality dill seed at a much lower price!br>br>Definitely a great addition to any pickle, ferment, or other recipe that calls for dill seed!.
Love. I like how the aroma smells. When I first opened the package, I couldn't get enough of the soothing scent. Love it. I'm going to combine it with turmeric powder, cumin, and olive oil in my Thanksgiving mashed potatoes! There will be no more plain mashed potatoes and gravy sauce!.
They completely ruined my pickle recipe, and I'm not sure why they smell and taste so bad. I'm throwing this out and going out to get some more dill seeds as soon as possible.
It's organic, which I appreciate, and it's also very tasty.
I bought these seeds, along with fennel and fenugreek, to make a breastfeeding tea, and it worked well. However, I believe they can be grown or cooked with.
It smells wonderful and is well packaged. I am pleased with my purchase.
