Sprinkled it in the yard to keep the raccoon out. Racoons are no longer a problem! I love it.
For squirrel deterrence, I sprinkled my more expensive cayenne pepper over the bird seeds. I used up the entire small bottle of cayenne pepper. The item could not be located for use in cooking by my husband. Compared to the previous bottle, this one is larger. In the meantime, I have been using it at will, but so far the squirrels don't seem to mind it, they jump in the window feeder anyway! Hopefully, I will be able to make a difference if I use more.

Put a finger into the bottle and dunk it all the way into it, then put this finger in your mouth, and the spice does not seem as spicy as tobasco sauce and it takes a long time for the heat.
There weren't a lot of heat in this. It was my expectation to taste something spicy, like cayenne pepper. There was something I didn't understand there. There was a marked difference in the mood.
A lot of wonderful items are now more affordable thanks to the Happy Belly brand on Amazon. Whenever I'm in the mood for spicy food, this cayenne is a definite fave I love it when you slice.
You might get more heat and flavor by grinding up the box it came in rather than buying this. If you want a cayenne-type heat, you should not buy this product.
