It didn't leave a stain on any of the surfaces I used it on. However, I do not own a deck of cards. I also added other ingredients, such as garlic powder, to it.
There is no lid for the shaker.
Yes, I used it to protect my peonies from ants that were building massive antpiles and killing them, and there was no visible damage to the grass.
I'd recommend putting in the path that raccoons use to get onto your porch. It's what I use to keep my herb garden safe from the neighborhood cats. Thank you for your interest.

I stopped using it when I had about 4 pounds left, but in the early fall, I noticed voles had started digging up my back yard, so I read that this works as a deterrent and sprinkled some'slurry mixture' down their holes, then sprinkled the perimeter of my entire yard (my dog doesn't seem to mind the scent), and voles had stopped digging up my back yard within a day. This does wash away with rain/snow and appears to dry up and lose efficacy in direct sunlight, so if I start seeing signs of new holes under my fence, I simply sprinkle more along the entire fence and fill the hole with pebbles and pepper, and it seems to keep the voles away now for literally MONTHS, and my neighbors yard is a field of vole tracks, so it certainly IS working for these little guys. br>br>My only gripe is that the San Antonio brand has yet to receive the 5-star rating. Since October, I've had to buy 1 pound at a time, which is much more expensive; I'd love to see the 5 pound option return soon!.
This is a humane and cost-effective way to keep these animals away. When using in food, use VERY CAREFULLY because even a small amount adds a lot of heat! Definitely not a low-cost or watered-down brand! br>I sprinkled this around the base of my bird feeders and in the attic where squirrels were constantly trying to get in, and since then, NO ONE has climbed them or attempted to get in! I'm sure the rain and the passage of time will necessitate a re-do. Only a tablespoon is required around the locations because the cost is so low. Every night, three raccoons knocked down and pulled off bird feeders, as captured on my night camera. They act as if there is an invisible wall between them and the pepper. If this gets into your eyes or nose, it can be quite painful! Be very careful and never apply if it is windy! It has no effect on the birds, and there are no toxic chemicals to be concerned about.
Raccoons in my fountain and Bofa frogs in the bushes and lawn, though I removed the water, Haven't seen the 'coons and not seeing many frogs, Stuff is strong as hell, don't breathe it in, and definitely don't get it near your eyes, Also tastes pretty good:.
We have a lot of wildlife that tries to get into our buildings and eat our garden because we live in the country. This is what we use to decorate the insides of our buildings. Raccoons, skunks, rodents, and other animals will not cross it or attempt to dig under it. It's also useful for keeping plants from being eaten in the garden. The wildlife will move on after a single sniff. In the event that it rains, replace it where it was used outside.
This stuff is what I use to keep mice and rats out of my barn and sheds. It appears to be very effective.
Of course, I need to continue using it, so I've already purchased another. The container is attractive and does a good job of containing the contents.
The squirrels' habit of climbing my bird feeder and devouring the seed has been successfully changed. It's critical to MIX and STIR cayenne with the seed before putting it in the feeder, and to do so while wearing safety goggles. Ouch.
it works! Without the use of harsh chemicals, you can effectively get rid of some pests. I wouldn't recommend using it on your lawn if you have any pets.
