Questions & Answers
The cardamom here has been ground up. The seeds are absent, and the husks are not present.
Here are the ground up seeds of green cardamom.
The label clearly does not indicate which way the product should be used. Visually, one would not be able to tell because it is finely ground. Hope this helps in identifying the difference in taste when you are not used to it.
They look like seeds of a smaller size. Rani ground cardamom can be found in the spice aisle. I would expect the powder to be in a jar, probably ground to a slightly coarse texture. If you decide to buy seeds as well as a grinder, large or small, make sure you have the right kind.

It's a cheaper substitute for the green variety, a black cardamom. Neither I nor my wife are biologists, but it appears to be a black cardamom. is definitely different from the green cardamon I have been buying for a long time as far as color, smell, and taste are concerned. Two pictures of this dark coarse ground powder can be seen in the attachment- Rani Cardamom (also known as black cardamom) is the spice in this recipe. These other images show things that are different compared to a green cardamom from Amazon (real cardamom). You can see the difference right away. Try looking at photos of ground green and black cardamom online - you'll find that they look very different. Generally speaking, I am not recommending this as a bad product, but you may find it disappointing if you are used to purchasing an expensive green cardamom. Compared to the other cardamoms, this one has a much stronger, intense "toothpaste" flavor, leaving you with a very long, minty aftertaste.
Update It has been two weeks now, and I must say that I cannot stand the taste any longer. There's just no way I can add menthol to my coffee anymore because the taste and smell are so strong. Putting a tube of toothpaste in coffee makes me feel as though someone has put a finger in it.
I felt like I was sipping on finely ground hair when I mixed it into my tea and sipped it They have begun grinding pods into the mix, probably because demand went up, production slowed down, and they are experiencing a rise in production. Exactly what I was hoping for! I bought one item, maybe it was a one-time purchase There could be a reversal, or maybe they will do something about it- As I loved this product, I hope it is true. ***FORMER A different brand of tea I used to make chai (tea) looked like It's not the most appetizing meal! In retrospect, I realized that I had probably ground the pods as well as the seeds, which also weakened the flavor (the pods + seeds companies are not required to let you know when they include pods). You can tell the difference between this brand and other brands by seeing and tasting it. I use it several times a day so it's a bit more expensive, but it's totally worth it. Making tea with that method is definitely my favorite.
Green cardamom [true cardamom] is the cardamom pictured on Google search results for Elaichi. There was at most 34% of it in the jar. It has a strange taste. If you purchase cardamom from the store you will not receive what the label says. There is a difference between the flavor and the taste. As it's smaller in the photo than in my jar, that's why mine isn't full. Should I contact the seller or is the picture of the jar misleading? The brand has lost my trust and I will not buy more spices from them.
My purchase was based on the fact that it said it was an Indian brand. As soon as I received the product I realized it was a Guatemalan product. A false advertisement would be such a thing. In Guatemala, the cardamon is not as flavorful as it is in As if it were a bar of soap, this tasted like it. This company will never be a part of my future purchases.
I found it to be just right. To drink my coffee, I put chai spice creamer into it. 1 tsp of vanilla creamer from a large bottle is usually all I need. The amount of cardamom to use is 1 teaspoon. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon. The nutmeg should be half a teaspoon. Add 1/2 tablespoon of ginger. I have cloves. In the meantime, I let it "steep" for at least 24 hours, occasionally shaking it. Several spices are removed by filtering the creamer through a fine sieve and storing it until I want to use it. It was delicious!.
Whenever I go into the store, I always find- Purchased spices such as Cardamom, garam masala, and turmeric that were tasteless and full of additives. Rani offers multiple spices on Amazon, so I have ordered a few and found them to be exceptional in terms of freshness, taste and quality. The products they sell are really good.
It is so fresh and of such fine quality, I only need a small amount to achieve the flavor I want. Rani, thank you for your kind words. Since I know how to select quality spices, I will purchase various spices in the future.
