Product Description

Despite being a biennial plant, caraway will not mature (produce fruit) until its Second growing season. However, its leaves in the first year will add a nice, tangy flavor to soups or salads. Caraway plants may reach three feet in height, and their leaves may grow delicately and feathery. The white or pink flowers of caraway are bloomed between May and July before the fruit is produced.
It's not seeds at all that are involved in this process. An achene, or caraway seed, is produced by this plant. Fruits containing only one seed are known as achenes. The simple shape and dried form of the fruit makes them a common ecological host. Technically speaking, the "seeds" we use from the caraway plant are actually achenes, or fruits. Fruit (and leaves) of the caraway plant resemble those of other plants in the celery family, which is why caraway is sometimes confused with fennel and
Although caraway comes from a distinct plant, it is similar in appearance. In addition, caraway seeds can also be distinguished when examined closely. crescent-shaped cumin seed is slightly larger than the caraway seed, and is darker and smoother. As well as being bitter, caraway seeds are also a bit stronger Caraway seeds are often described as having a minty or peppery aroma.
In terms of flavor, caraway seeds have an anise-like (mild licorice) flavor, but this flavor is a bit more complex and less pronounced than fennel seeds are. It can be used as a substitute for anise seeds just like fennel seeds, but it does have a distinctive flavor all its In addition to their strong aromatic qualities, caraway seeds also have a herbal bitterness. It is for this reason that caraway seeds are a common spice used in traditional European cooking.
There are high concentrations of naturally occurring essential oils in caraway seeds, which explain their unique flavor profile. In addition to their presence of antioxidants, caraway volatile oils also have a host of medicinal and health benefits.

Questions & Answers

Can you tell me where the caraway seeds are ?

My understanding is that they are sourced in the United States. The best thing to do in this case is to contact the seller.

What is the gluten content of these caraway seeds? The title of the product description states it is gluten free, but is there any mention of gluten free ?

In spite of not being an expert in gluten, I don't believe that caraway seeds would contain gluten since they are not grains, but seeds. Contacting the seller would probably be the best course of action. There is nothing better than the taste of these seeds.

The smell of this caraway seed is not the same as that of Mccormic's. My nose feels more like that of a perfume. Was anyone else able to notice it as well?

This did not occur to me. In the kitchen I have been using it a lot, and it tastes the same as

Does the caraway seed company have third-party certification that it is gluten free? Maybe there is an opportunity to cross-pollinate Has gluten been contaminated in transport or during ?

According to the label, it was certified organic by Ecocert, but there is no mention of the product being gluten free or certified.

Caraway is not what you are looking for
3/5

Isn't like caraway seeds in terms of appearance or smell. You don't like the taste of it The closest I can get is that, but it is not what I mean. It's fennel seeds, according to me. This is a repeat order from last time When I used it a few months ago, it ran smoothly. The current one, however, is a colossal failure. They have just fulfilled the last of my orders. EDITOR'S NOTE Upon further review, I have confirmed that what I received as Caraway seeds were really Dill As you can see in the attached photo, you can see it for yourself. **It is sad to say that this company must have something really wrong with it. We do not accept returns for this product.

A fresh and fragrant source of caraway seeds The seeds can also provide food flavoring and can calm the stomach (reduce bloating)
5/5

I use caraway seeds for breads, sauerkraut, and to flavor breads. As well, I've been exploring other uses for them, which is why I decided to purchase large quantities. Our focus on organic was paramount, and we sought out the product with the most excellent It didn't disappoint me at all! My first reaction upon opening the bag was to be blown away by the pungent and beautiful smell. They are packed with flavor - I've tried a few. I found this product not stale or limited in flavor as they are with some others I have bought before. Thank you Naturevibe.

Dill seeds were mistaken for caraway seeds (they can be distinguished visually), and what I found truly weird is that the seeds have a faint smell of caraway, as if they were perfumed to fool people
3/5

(Dill seeds and caraway seeds are quite different in smell). To be clear, I already have jars of both dill and caraway seeds at home, and the product I received is absolutely unmistakably identical to my dill seeds (except for a.

You did a great job
4/5

I am very pleased with the product - Despite being able to open, the bag itself has a problem with the seal. It does not work. This bag is disengaged from the user. A big clip closes the bag, but it is still open. I recommend the contents rather than the package!.

Caraway is a lesser herb
3/5

It's caraway, sure, but it's a different kind from what I'm used to seeing. There is a faint smell and a taste that I do not particularly like, so I would not buy it.

I hate it so much
3/5

Yesterday, I got this. Despite their dull appearance, they taste bitter and have a light color. There is an old attic smell to them. They had to be thrown out after I requested a refund. The date the product will be manufactured is.

I was disappointed in the Compared with my past experiences, the seeds are a bit lighter in color
3/5

They smell and taste fine. However, it's disappointing the picture clearly shows a sealable Mylar bag but they come in a clear, glorified Ziploc bag.

There was a film of thick, slimy, perfumed soap on the bag
3/5

As the bag of caraway seeds was covered with a heavy stench of slimy soap, I will not be able to tell if they were any good. The fact that someone would miss this and allow this package to be shipped is shocking to me. That's gross as hell.
