The best option for the money seemed to be these. As a gift, I received a Cuisinart machine that I am using to make some homemade bread. These seeds hold up really well in Pumpernickel, and I needed good flavor from them. A brown loaf of bread isn't complete without them. Although they made a good difference in flavor, they could have been I put 1 teaspoon in place of the teaspoon called for in the recipe. The best I could do was 5 tsp, and it seemed like it could still have We have never purchased any other containers to compare with this one, but the sealing was good, and it seemed pretty fresh. In the next attempt, I will add more to see how much difference there is Products are shipped by a distributor based in.
I added 1 Tablespoon to it. After taking off the freshness seal, I could immediately catch a whiff of the flavor. Exactly as the picture shows. The only seeds I could see were whole caraway seeds. Really pleased with them. The products I purchased fit my needs perfectly, even though I had been looking for organic. I may try to grow them to see how fresh they are/if they sprout well, but I know they smell like they came straight from the harvest (mine will last until Oct 2021, I got them in April.
I really like these because they smell awesome and they taste great!.
It is these seeds (and sourdough and rye flour) that contribute to the flavor of the bread. My bakery use 2 Tbsp per loaf and I bake every other day, so buying small jars at the supermarket was unaffordable. It was a miracle that these seeds were still fresh and tasty after all this time.
The flavor of caraway seed is irresistible to me in my rye bread.
In my rye bread, I used three tablespoons of caraway seeds and the flavor is totally undetectable! Buying this product is a waste of money.
It is a must to bake bread with these seeds.
