Despite believing that I was purchasing a superior product, the mixture is dominated by black peppercorns. I am very disappointed. This is not my usual purchase, but I was hoping it would be better than what I usually buy. As for my regular peppercorn blend, I will continue to use it.
Although it is a superb pepper, it does not seem to be compatible with Peugeot pepper mills. It has a great flavor and mix of peppercorns. However, neither of my mills seem to like it. There is an olive wood and enamel set of Peugeot pepper mills that I have. The mills I have dealt with have never been problematic. A few grinds will be enough to stop this blend from I have found that sometimes I can restart the mill by shaking it or banging it against the counter. There is no fault on the part of Olde Thompson in this situation.
This item cannot be returned due to the bad smell and taste. I don't know what's going on with this pepper but it smells a bit funkily. Aside from tasting off, it is also unappetizing. We are unable to accept returns for this item. Maybe it's just this batch. I read the other comments, but I did not see anything about this off taste. It seemed appropriate to mix some black peppercorn with this mix rather than the black peppercorn alone. The off taste in this pepper blend is not one I have experienced with other pepper blends before.

Using this salt in the grinder is the ONLY way to get it to work. Clogs it up not at all. This grinder grinds very well. It has a delicious taste. Last time I needed more of it, I was unable to find it at my local store, so I am glad that Amazon carries.

I have never tasted a better pepper blend. It has a full flavor and best of all, it is tasty. One of the biggest complaints about rainbow pepper blends is that the black pepper flavor gets lost in the other flavors. In this case, it's not the case. That is what I'm looking for in the mix a black peppercorn dominant flavor. A mix of red, white and green peppercorns is just right for a full flavor peppercorn blend, but it does not overpower the black peppercorn flavor.
