We bought this pepper as a substitute for Denver peppercorns, and it grinds easily, but is less spicy. This white peppercorn is perfect for those who are looking for a more delicate spice flavor and white coloring rather than the Denver peppercorn, which we really like for its spicy flavor. I filled an IKEA pepper grinder with it (the grinder fit on top of my Due to their softer nature, white peppercorns grind differently than black ones. White pepper is the hardest to find here in the United States aleppo pepper, white, and black pepper are always in my pantry. Our bulk spice department carries ground spices, but whole spices are always preferred since they retain their flavor and freshness for longer periods. This is a very good deal and a good quality product.
