With any brining process, I've found that rinsing thoroughly is all you need to do. I'd immediately start cooking. Ensure that the turkey is flavored with garlic and herbs. There are flavors that are less complex to choose from. I hope this information is useful.
Yes, this kit includes a BPA-free plastic brine bag.br>br>Hello Scott,br>br> br>br>Best regards,br>br>Rebeccabr>San Francisco Salt Companybr>
Weird ? I always stuff mine with apples, onion, sage, rosemary, and time, so it's not strange at all. The aromatics are fantastic and add a lot of moisture to the cavity.
I honestly don't recall the instructions for this one, but after brining, I always rinse and pat dry my turkey (and chicken). The brine is already in the meat, and it doesn't do much to help the skin.

I'm glad I took the chance! For my 6, I used half of a package. 5 pound turkey breast, brined for 4 1/2 hours; when I boiled them in water, the combination of herbs and garlic smelled incredible. I also rubbed more herbs and butter into the turkey breast before cooking it in my pressure cooker and then browning it in the oven for 5 minutes. It is - by far - I've never made a better turkey breast in my life. It's moist, juicy, and full of flavor. I'm going to buy a second package to keep in my pantry. This is excellent information.
br>I usually make my own brine solution and fill up a cooler with water and the mixture, then clean up the mess. br>I buy salt from San Francisco Salt Co. on a regular basis. I was intrigued by this kit when I saw it on their website. br>I was not disappointed, and I'm glad I ordered before Amazon ran out of stock in early November. br>The turkey was the moistest and tenderest I've ever cooked. The breast meat was tender and flavorful, and it could be cut with a fork. Legs are the longest part of the body. Thighs that are juicy and crisp on the outside. My only criticism was that it seemed a little salty, but I think that's due to the fact that the kit is designed to season a 22-pound turkey, and I only made a 14-pound turkey and used the entire season packet. I could have solved this by diluting the solution with more water in the bag, or by not brining it for as long (I had it in the brine for nearly 20 hours). It's likely that just one night would have sufficed. So keep that in mind if you're doing a smaller bird. br>I followed the instructions on the package and found it to be very simple to use. br>I'll buy it again when it comes back in stock so I have it on hand. br>Thank you, SF Salt Co, for a delicious Thanksgiving meal!.
We cooked the product as directed and then let it cool, which made for a tender, juicy bird. Brining turkeys is done in a clean igloo cooler. I gave it another clean and filled it with 20 pounds of ice. Place the turkey, breast side down, in the brine that had been prepared. I went to bed after closing it. I retrieved the bird in the morning and let it air dry for a few hours before seasoning, buttering, and wrapping it in foil. I cooked it for several hours at a high temperature on my pellet grill. Stunning. It's lovely. It was delicious. I'm going to do it the same way I did the first time. I hope this information is useful.
I made the brine according to the instructions, then stuffed my turkey into the bag, poured the cool brine in, sipped the bag almost shut, slid the whole thing into a big pot, topped off the bag with water, zipped it shut, and put it in the fridge for a day and a half. I took out my aromatic-stuffed turkey and injected the breast with brine, then baked it at 350 degrees for 5 hours and let it rest. It was the juiciest breast I'd ever had. I hope you and your family have as much fun with it as we did.
The brine is currently cooling! It has a wonderful aroma to it. The brining bag is made of heavy-duty material. For support, I put it in a large baking pan, and I'll brine the turkey tonight. This is a fantastic deal that is also simple to use and convenient. For Christmas, we're going to order a new kit. The turkey situation has changed - The turkey was flavorful and moist. The gravy made from the drippings was delicious! For the next turkey, I'm definitely getting a Brining kit! Because it was such a hit, I decided to order another Brining Kit for Christmas. We'll be roasting a 12 pound turkey as well as several chickens. The turkey is going to be smoked, and the chickens will be baked. Excellent cuisine!.
This thing was so flavorful that it permeated the entire bird, making leftovers even better. This stuff was, hands down, the best. br>br>It's a little extra salty, just a heads up, but I like that stuff so no complaints. br>br>I've cooked turkeys all kinds of ways, with different brining methods, and this stuff was, hands down, the best. br>br>It's a little extra salty, just a heads up, but I like that stuff so no complaints. The provided bag is sturdy and can withstand the additional weight of the turkey due to the addition of water. From now until the end of my life, I'm going to use this kit exclusively for all my turkey needs.
This is without a doubt the best brine I've ever tried. My parents had never had a fried turkey before, and I brined a 20-pound turkey for them. With this, Turkey is involved. It turned out to be incredibly juicy and flavorful. The herbs and spices that penetrate the turkey give it the best flavor I've ever had in a turkey. The only disappointment, to put it another way, was that there was no turkey left for sandwiches. You will not be disappointed if you purchase and use this product.
I followed the directions and brined my 14-pound turkey for a little over 24 hours, breast down; I used a Butterball turkey that had already been brined at the factory, but this takes it to the next level! The juices dripped out of the turkey breast as my husband cut into it. It was unanimously agreed that this was the best turkey they had ever eaten. It was absolutely fantastic! This product comes highly recommended from me as a professional home cook.
