I'm not even allowed to use them. This is revolting, and I will not place another order with this user.
SHELLFISH is a type of sea creature. As someone who has a severe allergy to shellfish, I was disappointed to receive the two bags I ordered only to discover that the chilis had been processed with virtually every major allergen. The allergy disclaimer is not displayed in the "storefront" images. "br>br>If you or anyone you'll be cooking for or feeding has a food allergy to one of the most common allergens, this is NOT the brand for you. br>br>For me, this purchase was a waste of money, and I didn't check the package until I was ready to begin cooking. Talk about a irritated chef.
I combined them with the other chiles I purchased from the same company, Amazing Chile and Spices, to make a mole and another red sauce. These dried chiles appeared to be newly dried, rather than shriveled and brittle. This is a company from which I will make future purchases.
Ancho, cascabel, de Arbol, guajillo, and other chilies have all arrived on time and in good condition. Everything comes in resealable plastic bags. All of the salsas and moles I've made so far have been delicious. I'm excited to experiment with new Chile varieties in new dishes!.
These were absolutely incredible. For dried chilies, this is a very clean product. It has a good taste. It was fantastic in the marinade for my al pastor tacos. I would give it a ten out of ten rating.
This is my first time trying this company's Pasilla chilies. They had no heat to them at all, in my opinion. I might as well have left them out of the southwest chili I make with them. There isn't even a hint of heat in them. It was a huge let down.
Not brittle, easy to re-hydrate and pulverize; flavorful, mildly smoky flavor for mole and (beef) chili. Very well done! It's perfect for authentic Mexican dishes like chicken mole and Texas beef chili in a "bowl of red. " Powdered chili pepper can't compare to it in terms of flavor.
The Pasilla chiles were supple and fresh. I made them according to the recipe's instructions and served them alongside my Mexican meal. They added a rich, deep flavor as well as the perfect amount of heat. For the price, these are excellent chiles.
