Questions & Answers
According to the label, it possesses the following characteristics: Garlic, onion, chili peppers, salt, and other spices are used to make this dish. It isn't particularly warm. It tastes exactly like the online recipe, which includes the same ingredients as well as cumin and paprika. Although the recipe calls for 3 tablespoons per pound of beans, I find that I need a little more to get a good flavor. Any leftover beans in the seasoning are mashed up and used for taco refried beans.
To understand why the price has risen, you must look at the FJB.
I'm not sure where the packet came from, but this seasoning is fantastic. I add some dehydrated onion and red pepper flakes to the mix. However, it doesn't require any additional seasoning; it's already a fantastic seasoning.
Southern spices give the beans a nice flavor.

It'd be fine if they just left out the salt and I could add whatever I wanted.
Flavors of garlic and chili. 5/5. It has a great flavor with just a hint of spiciness. As some have mentioned, there isn't too much salt. People's reviews said it was too salty, so I almost didn't get it. It has a nice garlic and chili powder flavor (you can taste the salt but it isn't overpowering), and it has a salt flavor that isn't the main flavor.
I was using another brand, but a friend recommended this one, and we have not been disappointed. It gives my Pinto's a wonderful flavor, and I serve them with Honey Corn Bread on the side. It also works wonders if you add it to your cooked beans before mashing them if you're making homemade rice. This is a WINNER, bean burritos. br>I'd like to point out that, in addition to having a "Wonderful Flavor," this Seasoning is also (Non GMO/Gluten Free/MSG FREE/Non Irradiated, as well as being LOW in sodium.
That is far too much salt, in my opinion; the salt content is far too high for that amount. I can't handle even 1 tbsp. I used about a teaspoon. br>The flavor is similar to taco seasoning and is quite tasty. All you have to do now is determine how much sodium you should consume.
I love homemade pinto beans, but I was out of a lot of spices, so I decided to try this. Perfect! I added one tablespoon more than the recipe called for, but that's only because I prefer spicy foods in my cooking. This is now a permanent addition to my spice cabinet.
This bean seasoning is one of my favorites, and I've been using it for years. Because WalMart's product availability is so variable, I never know if I'll be able to find the large bottle, so I just ordered it through Amazon to ensure I'll have it when I need it. br>br>Item was exactly as described and arrived quickly; I will purchase from this seller again. THANX!.
Sauce cooked down thick, not hot, not screaming spicy, just very tasty and blended, using one pack of pinto beans and 1 teaspoon of spice. It was unnecessary to add salt (I had done so the first time and it was excessive). Husband has had stomach problems for a long time and has never complained.
The seasoning was all over my other items when the bottle arrived broken, and Amazon refused to take action.
