When my neighborhood supermarket stopped carrying it, I was devastated. Because I use it in tacos, soups, meatloaves, and collard greens, I used to buy it in four-packs at a time. It's fantastic. I'm so glad it's available on Amazon!.
For tacos, burritos, and nachos, it's the best ground beef. It's a little salty, but you can adjust the saltiness by using a little less seasoning than the recipe calls for. There's a lot going on here.
I'm not sure why this isn't available in every grocery store. It's a great product, mildly spicy with a great combination of green chilies, garlic, and onion flavors. MSG is present in this dish. So keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. If you're tired of the orange powdered mixes like I was, try this. This product is one of my wife's and my favorites.
This item is not available in stores. I found a recipe for Chi Chis Chimichangas, a family favorite at a restaurant, and I'm looking for a way to make them at home. I'm glad I can order these because I came close to getting it right.
We thought they were ok, but a little bland, so we tried two packs at the recommended ratio. I'm going to try seasoning it myself to give it a boost. I was expecting a taco similar to what we get in southern Colorado or New Mexico.
Taco seasoning made with tomatoes or chilies does not appeal to me. This seasoning is ideal for enhancing the flavor of taco meat, hamburgers, and chicken. In all of my Mexican dishes, such as tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, I use it to flavor the meat. I usually use one package per 1 pound to 1 pound of meat. 1 pound of meat.
We haven't been able to find this brand in stores, and it's far superior to the seasonings Ruth uses on her meat. It allows the meat's natural flavor to shine through without being overly salty.
This is the only taco mix I'll use, so I'd been looking for it in the supermarket. Needless to say, I was overjoyed to discover it here. It arrived quickly and at a great price; I will order again.
