Not sure. It could be because it's a good seasoning for things other than fajitas, or it could be because it's a nice blend of seasonings. It's great on steaks and other types of meat. This seasoning is one of our favorites.
There are no sugars listed on the ingredients label, and the flavor isn't particularly sweet. For years, I've been seasoning all kinds of meat with it.

On Sundays, I make tacos or all-day slow-cooked pork carnitas in the crock pot. I coat the meat well two days ahead of time, wrap it in plastic wrap, and store it in the fridge. Remove the meat and brown it in a skillet with some light oil on Sunday morning. Brown the meat on all sides to form a crust, then let it cool for 1/2 hour before placing it in the crock pot and covering it with the leftover fajita-flavored oil from the skillet. Cook on low for the entire day. In 2005, we lived in San Diego and used this brand of spices. In the year 2020, I have three small plastic bottles filled with chicken, mesquite, and this spice. After 15 years, all three are still bursting with flavor! We moved from Montana to Eastern Washington, where the Fiesta brand of spices is not available. Beef, chicken, and pork will all be cooked in this large bottle. The expiration date is September 2023, according to the stamped date. While new production was in stock, I ordered a second LG bottle.
For years, I've used it to cook both regular steak and fajita meat. Anyone who has purchased fajita meat (skirt steak, or more specifically the cow's diaphragm muscle) from a butcher knows that it comes with a lot of fascia, or silver skin, which must be removed with a knife and softened with a tenderizer before it can be eaten. If I can find it, I buy skirt steak that has been "cleaned" of connective tissue, and then I use a needle to remove the connective tissue. Use a hammer to make small holes in it, then coat it in Fiesta fajita seasoning and a fruit enzyme (lime juice, pineapple juice, etc. ) before storing it in the refrigerator for a day or two. The tenderizer isn't necessary for regular steaks, but the flavor is still fantastic. It also contains MSG, which gives it that wonderful umami flavor; MSG has been maligned for years, but it isn't harmful to your health. If you look it up on the internet, you'll discover that anti-MSG prejudice has deep racist roots against Asians. So far, this Amazon purchase has been less expensive than what I've been buying for years at my local supermarket (Fiestamart, ironically).
This product has been a part of my life for over 15 years. I could only find it in Texas at a regional grocery chain when I first started looking for it. And every winter, when my parents spent the winter in their RV in southern Texas, they would pick it up. When my parents were no longer able to travel to Texas in their RV, I had them buy me several containers of this seasoning, which would last me for years. It's been over a decade since that happened. I recently ran out of money. I began looking for a location where I might be able to find it. I was overjoyed to discover that it is now available on Amazon. Because my family enjoys it, I am confident that I will be a repeat customer.
For several years, this has been my go-to Fajita seasoning! It's the ideal blend of spices. seasonings, and make the best fajitas in my opinion. I use this seasoning to make chicken and steak fajitas, usually on the grill. It's also good on pork chops. It enhances the flavor of everything I prepare with it. br>br>It used to be available at my local Kroger, but it hasn't been in years. I was delighted to discover it on Amazon. You will not be disappointed if you give it a try! It reminds me of something a naive college student might do. It is not suitable for anyone who is concerned about the ingredients in their food. Seasonings such as salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and undisclosed "spices. " br>The 30 oz. br>The 30 oz. br>The 30 oz In my opinion, the size is sufficient for many years. br>I'm blown away that this is an "Amazon's Choice" item. For what? Seasonings for a low price?.
Tex-Mex chicken salads, to be exact! It's incredibly inexpensive and made with very basic ingredients, but Since then, this business has been my go-to. Now it's been three decades! Please don't stop adding seasonings to your food! It took nearly a year for me to buy enough for four! br>Buy it and try it for yourself if you don't believe me.
I'm not joking when I say I use it in every dish I prepare. Fajitas. steak. . . seasoning seasonings, eggs. . . rice, seasonings. . . Seasoning. . . it gets this seasoning if it's grilled, smoked, fried, warmed up, turned up, and turned out. Fiesta fajita seasoning is applied to pork, chicken, beef, turkey, and potatoes. Ice cream is a delicious treat. I'm not sure if it needs seasoning, but I'm willing to give it a shot. In the end, I've been eating this brand for the past ten years and I'm fat and happy because of it. I used it when I was younger and in better shape, but now that I'm older, I don't use it as much. Bottom line is that if you use it, you will thank me and the Fiesta brand.
I use it for everything: fajitas, vegetables, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, you name it! It's fantastic! It is a hit with my entire family! I went with the 30 oz. size. I'm going to get the larger one next time. This seasoning is one of my favorites! It's definitely worth a go!.
