Because the Rani tandoori powder is salt-free, you can use as much as you want in your food without worrying about it becoming too salty. Two points to keep in mind: (1) It contains chili powder (also known as cayenne pepper), so the more powder you use, the spicier your food will be; (2) Despite the fact that it is a tandoori spice powder, which should, in my opinion, be more red, due to the turmeric, it is more yellow. So I increased the amount of paprika in my marinade, but it was still a little too yellow, but that's fine; I'm not going to penalize you for it. I'll use even more paprika the next time I make it!.
Tandoori spice mixtures are normally not a hot mixture, but deeply flavored and commonly colored with a natural food coloring to bright red, and I've bought other brands from Amazon in the past. They're traditionally used as a marinade for meat (usually chicken) that's then cooked quickly in a clay barbecue oven (a tandooor), but I've also used them to make Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken variations. These are simple dishes with a lot of flavor. This concoction is extremely hot! Although I enjoy spicy curries, I was surprised when my Tandoori chicken burned my lips (and not from the heat). My wife and children had had enough of the heat and had given up. I'm still looking for other uses for this, as it's no longer useful for its original purpose.
I usually buy organic seasonings, but with 2020 approaching, all of the organic brands have sold out. So I decided to give it a shot because the ingredients seem reasonable, if not organic. The seasoning is definitely on the hotter side, which I like (bring it on!). My teen, on the other hand, who is just starting to dabble in spicy foods (she orders mild plus when we go out to eat), was able to handle the level of heat.

It was spicy, like cayenne pepper, but that didn't stop me from using a lot of it in my cooking. In my butter chicken, it was fantastic! I didn't like that it came in a plastic bag, but I had the option of buying it in a more convenient package, so that's my fault; the price is very reasonable for the amount.
Tandoori spice from RANI is aromatic and flavorful. That's exactly what I needed. br>The packaging is fantastic. Even better, the box can be recycled. br>An added bonus is the Kabab Masala Surprise Packet inside, which I will use to create a completely unique dish. br>Because I'm new to Indian cooking, having enough spices to make "mistakes" while cooking is a challenge that I'm looking forward to taking on.
Although it claims to be gluten-free, it is processed on the same machinery as wheat and other products, according to the package. Celiac disease sufferers should avoid it. And there's no way I can get it back to you.
