Sprinkling this spice over fruit especially sounded really good to me - I love Indian spices, and I was so hoping I might enjoy this one. Fresh mango is mostly to my liking - I tried some when it was fresh The flavor is tangy, which I loved, but I can't identify exactly what it is. I thought it had the slight egg smell to it, taste we kind of like sulfur that I just can't get past. I want to try it again, maybe with some pineapple, but I opened the lid and the same egg smell hit me and I was unsatisfied. Obviously, it's just that I'm not familiar with these spices, and taking advantage of their properties is out of the question.

Exactly what I had hoped for in a flavor. Despite the fact that I could barely read the ingredients (probably size 2 font), I would still rate this product as excellent. This is important to me because I am trying not to eat added sugars. The product appears to be sugar-free (there are no sugars). As I checked the ingredients, I noticed that the label stated, "no salt added". It was salt that appeared as the first ingredient in the list when I was able to decipher it.

The flavor was unusual but very good and we liked it very much. The dish I made from Aarti Sequeira came out great! Roasted cauliflower and chickpeas seemed like the perfect combination! In addition to using the spice blend over vegetables, I'd use it on its own. I concur with Joselyn Belpedio's thesis.

The number of chat masala recipes must be as numerous as the number of However, most chat masala I have tasted is much sourer than this. Although amchur powder (green mango dried) appears to be the second ingredient, the taste was fully drowned out by the large amounts of kala namak (black sulfur salt). Although the eggy smell has been mentioned in some reviews, you will smell that when you use kala namak. Usually it is not used at all. By adding generous amounts of butter to the mix, I was able to adjust the flavor to my liking, but I will not purchase this product Rather than make a custom mix, I'll just make my own.

A package has been delivered within a reasonable timeframe. The flavors of this seasoning in cooked vegetables are divine, like the dishes served at fine Indian restaurants. Only downside is that you need to use about three times as much as you normally would with the rest of the While it won't be expected to stay in the house very long due to its unique flavor, it's sort of okay for that.

It was recommended that I order this after reading that it was commonly used in India in place of salt and pepper. On some dishes, I use it that way. While it does have a very slight sulfur smell, I can see how it would turn some people off. When I sprinkle it on soups, potatoes, and other savory dishes, I don't notice that. On fruit, I've heard that some people prefer it. That is something I've never tried since I find salt on fruit to be overpowering. If you are an adventurous eater, then this spice mix is for you. The most distinguishable flavors are tangy and a little salty. Spice mixes without salt are hard to come by, so if you are looking for one, this will not do.
