It was for making Cholle that I purchased this amchur powder. She has an allergy to this dish and has never had a reaction to it. I noticed only this amchur was new, and I read the back of the label closely and saw that it is supplied on the same machines as those with a long list of allergens, including peanuts (which are far down on In response to the peanuts, my daughter reacted. Her throat closed up as soon as she tried them. That's a scary thought! product should clearly be labeled as potentially harmful to people with allergies to nuts and peanuts.

This is the first time I've used this brand of this product, though I've discovered it many years ago and have used it a few times. It has a slightly fruity taste and a little tang to it. There is neither a salty nor a sweet taste to it. I use it mainly for grilled corn on the cob, although I use it for a few other recipes as well. As you grill the corn with the husk still attached, squeeze or rub on a lime wedge and sprinkle the mango powder on top.
