Questions & Answers

When it comes to chat masala, why is it called chunky? What kind of spice blend is this? Ground or whole ?

There are ground spices in it. Spice blend that has been ground into powder. There is no explanation for why it has been called chunky.

Is too much salt good for prehypertension? My spouse has high blood pressure so we are concerned about salt. ?

In my opinion, the sodium content on the label is incorrect. Based on what it said in the back, I bought this at a local international market and was thinking it was low sodium. *When I tasted it, though, I realized that it was too salty, too much for me, and was not necessarily heart healthy unless consumed in very small quantities. Some people mistakenly believe Indian Black Salt to be more heart healthy, there are some myths floating around on the internet regarding this, so they may not even account for its sodium content, but it has just a bit less sodium than White Salt because it contains a few other ingredients as well. During the first 3 ingredients, white and black salt are listed as the dominant spices, followed by mango. Black salt is also listed as the second active ingredient in the first 3. 1/2 tsp or 2 g is listed as serving size, and it is claimed that 5 grams of sugar are present in it. A serving of this meal contains 6 mg of sodium. Yet, I can bet that half a teaspoon holds a lot more sodium than that. In half a teaspoon there will be several hundred mg of sodium for sure. I'm not sure if it is for both kinds of salt in there or just the white salt but it will be several hundreds mg As a result, I would use it sparingly if you have hypertension or are trying to maintain a healthy heart. It is possible to find other versions with lower sodium content, if you ask around, or to make your own from scratch and reduce the amount of salt the next time you make it. To be on the safe side we were told not to exceed 2000 mg of sodium in one day so just a teaspoon of salt contains that much sodium. We already get enough sodium from our natural diet without adding extra salt to it through a salt shaker or spiced salt such as this. As a result, you don't need much to make a big impact. It isn't until they have poor health results that most people realize they have it. It is my sincere hope that this will help you.

I am trying to figure out the difference between chat masala and garam masala. Can you please tell me how each of them is used in Indian cooking?

The spice garam masala is usually added to curries as an additional spice. On cut fruit and chaat, chat masala is usually sprinkled on top. We use this as a food storage method, for example There are many uses, variations, and recipes, but that is generally how we use it in our house

Do you know if this is gluten-free?

There are 99 years left in my life. I am 99 percent sure that it doesn't contain gluten.

My favorite thing to eat with couscous is Chunky Chat
5/5

While I was visiting a cultural center, I saw a lot of Indian food being All of us put spices on our food together, and one glass jar held a spice. A friend of mine recommended it and I What did I ask you In what sense does it exist? A reply was given "chunky chaat. ". I went to an Indian food store and asked for "chunky chaat" and I ended up with MDH Chunky Chat Masala. Now that I am not going to grocery stores, I bought this on Amazon, and it is the same stuff as in the grocery store. I do not consider this chunky, but rather a spice. I find its flavor very complex. When you use a lot, it is super spicy, but it can also be used a little and it still tastes great without being overwhelming. My favorite way to use this is to sprinkle it over couscous and chickpea salad. It is very easy to pour out too much spice from this package, so once I open it, I transfer it to another container.

It's one of my favorites, but it's not packaged well, so the box is almost Though I love this product as well as the Koshy brand for Chat Masala, I found this very poorly Even though the Indian store is a bit farther away and the price is half, I would rather drive to the Indian store and pay less, even if it is a bit of a drive
4/5

The inner foil package seemed in tact, so I believe I really don't like the fact that I paid top dollar from Amazon for it since I got it directly from the I have a few boxes from MDH that are so misshapen they don't stand up right next to my other MDH spice boxes. Do not become too confident, you pack cheaply and lose customers by doing so. Do not become too confident, you pack cheaply and lose customers by doing so.

I love the taste of this
4/5

A first point to mention is that it Additionally, the packaging was a poor choice. It won't store well in a spice cabinet because the box was crushed during transport. My favorite way to use it was in a garbanzo bean salad. You can taste salty lemon in the predominant flavor. A blue cheese dressing was used and it mixed.

My favorite part of MDH is Chunky Chat! I love it! The Indian curry you make for Indian deserts will ease your fears of spicy curry
5/5

It is also a good way to break your frightened guests into the world of curry. It is my favorite ingredient for chicken dishes, and my kids love it too. The next step is to add some In spite of this, the wine is rather mild and probably quite appropriate for the average American.

Almost any project is good for her
4/5

This salty complex spice mix isn't just for curries. It's great on all kinds of foods, from fish to vegetables. It could use a little less salt but, since there is such a small amount of salt required, a package of this lasts a long time. If necessary, I usually start with 1/8 tsp and work my way up from there when cooking for two adults. Besides using it as an addition to the table, we also use it for research.
