What the hell is going on here? Today I got this. The label's entire bottom had been ripped off. I'm not sure when it'll expire or how many ounces there are in it. The label had not even been adhered to the package. It was TAPEED on with a phony UPC label that read NEW ITEM. Like that's going to persuade me it's safe?.
This isn't even close to being concentrated. It has the consistency of running syrup, while concentrated tamarind has the consistency of a soft date. In terms of sourness, here's what I've discovered: If the sourness of a real tamarin is 5, this reduces it to 2 instead of increasing it. So, I'm not sure what to call it, but here's what I do know: I'm not going to buy it ever again.
This is a good sauce to use when making pad thai. Other brands, I believe, are thicker, which aids in the creation of a superior sauce. It had a delicious flavor!.
It is extremely simple to operate. Thai and Vietnamese cuisines go well together. Many people make the mistake of using ketchup as a sweetener in Pad Thai. As a result, this tamarind is ideal, with just the right amount of sweetness.
It doesn't taste like tamarind at all; it's sour without being sweet, and it lacks the typical tamarind flavor. It's also too thin, like a sliver of a souce.
I just received my package. When I opened the package, it began to leak.
I still have quite a bit left over for the next time! As usual, Prime provides excellent value and prompt delivery.
