This stuff is fantastic. My wife bought it for me as a joke, and it sat on the shelf for quite some time before I used it. I've reordered it and use it on everything since then! br>br>I'm a big fan of bbq, and it's fantastic as a base layer for chicken, pork, and beef seasoning. It's the only thing I use on chicken. br>br>Salt, pepper, onion, and garlic (SPOG), as well as a few other spices, are used to help round out the flavor profile, which is salty and savory rather than sweet and spicy. br>br>Try putting a bunch of chicken wingettes and drumettes in a ziploc bag with a couple TBS of this, a few TBS of cider vinegar, and a few TBS of canola oil, shaking it up, letting it sit in the fridge for an hour or two, then setting up a two-zone grill with lump charcoal. Sear the wings over the lump until they're crispy, then set them aside to cool while the chicken finishes cooking. Remove them and watch as they are eaten. In my opinion, there's not much better out there.
It should be referred to as "basic sh!" This is a low-cost option. It's a home-made spice that's peppered to the max. It's one of those foods that causes you to cough repeatedly after you eat it.
If you're a cook, or simply enjoy cooking like me, you'll know that salt, pepper, and garlic are essential spices to have on hand and use in almost every recipe; this seasoning has them all, plus more! When you use this Special Sh*t in your cooking, you'll notice a distinct difference in the aroma and flavor. If you didn't know, this company makes a number of other spices, all of which have amusing names! However, I'm willing to bet that these seasonings are just as good, and once I give them a try, I'll let you Amazon buyers know. Try it out for yourself to see what I'm talking about. So I've been using another seasoning for years that I found on Ebay that is very similar to this but has the exact opposite names. On a whim, I gave it a shot. In fact, I was not dissatisfied. It's decent. I put it up against my regular routine. It comes close to my regular, but not quite. There is less garlic in this version than in the other. That is the only distinction I can see, and it isn't a significant one. Because of the name, I would never give it as a gift, so it doesn't work for me. I like it, but I'm going to stick with my other favorite brand. I'm glad I gave it a shot; it's decent, but not quite as good as the original.
special! My son-in-law is from Texas, and he told us about it. It has a fantastic flavor, with just the right blend of spices and a hint of spiciness. Fresh asparagus is one of my favorite things to eat with it. Place in a single layer on an aluminum foil-lined cookie sheet, sprinkle with the Special S***, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for a few minutes at 350 degrees. The time is 8 minutes. There will still be a crunch to the asparagus. Yummy. Parmesan cheese is also a staple in my kitchen.
In comparison to other seasonings, it's one of the best I've ever had. Very distinct. Use with caution because it is slightly salty. After I finish this bottle, I'll become the meat seasoning.
It's excellent, but not exceptional. I wouldn't use it in regular dishes or as a last-minute addition after cooking. The flavors are strong and complex. I'd only use it for bbq'ing, roasting in the oven, or perhaps slow cooking. To allow the seasonings to blend in, cook the dish for a few minutes. I can't think of many brands that are as amusing as this one, though. a laugh as well as well developed It's a handy seasoning mix to have on hand, but you could just as easily buy all of the ingredients separately. Do it on your own I already had the majority of them on my counter.
