Questions & Answers

Do these pesticides or herbicides get used on the rice?

Pest control is used with pesticides, but the food is safe to eat, and regulation over this practice is by the Minnesota Board of Agriculture and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Those who are looking to avoid herbicides and pesticides might find that wild rice from Canadian lakes, such as a wild harvested version that has been harvested away from any cultivated areas, could be an alternative.

Does this rice take a long time to cook to perfection?

It is not easy to get rice just right on the first try Maybe this is just a problem with my rice cooker, as I do not own one. There is a certain timing to learning how to use the stove well, and it's worth the effort. In the end, I keep a pot of water close to the pot. After a rice grain has been steamed, it looks like a hotdog roll. In my opinion, it is best served simply with half a teaspoon of butter. I can't get enough!

Does th 3 pound or the 15 oz (pack of 4) last for a long period of time ?

You need to make sure you understand what you are doing. When it comes to soups or dressings, or casseroles, I usually include rice in them. There has never been a time when I have made it all by myself. The amount of cooked rice that is equal to 1/2 cup of dry rice is about 2 cups. I could possibly eat that 3 pound bag of rice for a year or more. Several of the items were given to family members as well. As such, it will vary based on the way it is used per serving.

There is a rotten egg smell and taste in my rice. Two times I cooked it and the whole kitchen smelled of it. It was recommended to me, so I bought it. ?

Such a problem has never occurred to me. Are there any other people in your kitchen who could confirm the smell? A medical condition can cause the sense of smell to be distorted. Possibly this is the cause of the problem.

It has a great flavor and is clean
5/5

The short answer is that I do not enjoy brown rice. I on the other hand love wild rice. Using a mixed blend is problematic because by the time the wild rice is cooked, the rest of the mix is mushy. There is no chemical added to this wild rice, and it has a The only thing I found in the bag was rice. No debris to be found. To cook rice, I add a bit more than 2 cups water to 4 cups of water in my Instapot and cook on high steam for 35 minutes. Then let it release for at least 15 minutes, uncover it, stir, and let it remain on warm for a bit to remove any When most of the grain has burst open, that is the best. The alternative is like biting into a pellet of rubber.

I love it! My girlfriend and I were introduced to this kind of rice by a mutual friend
5/5

I cannot imagine eating any other kinds of rice! My favorite part is how flavorful it is and how crunchy it is. My husband doesn't like it al dente, so I have to cook it longer, but thanks to this rice it'll never be mushy (thank goodness!) Since I bought the three packs, it was a good value and I know I am going to have rice until I am done with You can expect me to buy from you.

Wild rice from Minnesota
5/5

I learned about Minnesota wild rice from a friend who Amazon had more, and yes, I wanted to get it from them. We have been pleased with it though. Although I thought it might not be as good as the brand she always sent, it is very good. Our usual preparation is to mix it with white rice, which provides an enjoyable chewy texture and nutty taste.

I absolutely love it

There is also great value in this wild rice since it is good-tasting and reasonably priced. Try mixing one part wild rice with one part brown rice to make an awesome rice combination (if you want. ) In most cases, the cooking time is between 40 and You may want to let it sit for a few minutes after turning off the heat, in order to absorb any residual water. In the absence of other ingredients, reduce the water slightly when cooking wild rice alone. Using the same example, if I'm cooking half a cup of rice, I use about 77/8 cups of The ingredients I used were based on what I saw on the grocery store shelves. As long as you use less water, you're good to go. It is a great value and tastes great, so buy some today!.

Getting the most out of your money
5/5

Prior to buying, I did some research and compared this rice to brown and white rice (is that politically correct?) before purchasing. I bought this rice as I researched it and compared it to brown and white rice (is that politically correct?). There are also fewer calories in it (and it is much healthier). The rice I select for this purchase is something I love, and I hope it meets all my expectations. I have taken the time to research it, so feel free to try it. It is a labor intensive task to harvest the rice, and it must be done at a very specific time as well. can also watch a video on YouTube to see how to harvest the grains and cook them appropriately. The preparation of this rice takes longer than that of other rices. You are in my thoughts.

Minnesota wild rice is unlike similar products I have purchased from health food stores near where I currently live. So happy I discovered this product on Amazon. Thanks Amazon. The quality of the product was excellent as usual, and the price was fair.

Whenever white or brown rice is unavailable, rice noodles are a great choice
5/5

Brown and white rice are certainly more affordable in terms of price, but this type of rice has a wonderful taste and flavor. Due to the fact that I'm a vegan I eat a lot of rice and want to avoid other types of rice with a high arsenic content. But with Minnesota wild rice the levels are quite low. This meal is even good the next day!.

The flavor is awesome

I no longer have to worry about having noodles in my wild rice My experiments did not bear fruit. I would have liked to see some cooking instructions. In the future, I will cook it first and mix it with rice I normally cook. I did not like the flavor of the regular rice, but the wild rice disintegrated once it had been Having a pure product prevents me from getting food chemists mixed in my food. This allows me to be in total control of my diet.
