To make me feel better, I use about two and a half cups water for each cup of Wild rice. Having recently eaten a cup of Wild rice, I can serve two people with 3/4 cup. No gluten is present in this product. I have found it helpful. I am happy.
There is no organic label on it. There is only an indication that it is totally Water keeps wild rice from getting fertilized, so it wouldn't grow in fertile soil. I suppose Red Lake Nation grows and harvests this rice since it is an Indian tribe.

I've never had anything better than this. It's Minnesota Wild Rice, and it's superb. You are referring to a type of which I am familiar. You are not looking at the right one.

There is nothing better than this product in terms of taste. When I was growing up, our family ate wild rice for breakfast and dinner every day. The options are endless with this tasty side dish. It's great by itself or in soups. If you add a little roasted almonds, butter, garlic, onions, or some roasted almonds, you can do a whole Thanksgiving dinner with it. The summer is a great time to eat cold chicken salad. Cooking mine for a longer period of time and using vegetable or chicken stock is usually what I do. Salt and pepper are always to taste with this food. This is a versatile food that I do recommend. It is my philosophy to buy with a purpose if at all In terms of culture and harvesting, I know that this is in Minnesota, where it helps sustain the Red Lake community. I love it so much that it is my favorite food.
SUPPORT American farms by eating wild rice from the USA. The taste, the look, and the fact that it's made in the USA make it a winner. Since I am vegan and gluten-free, I don't eat meat and dairy products Farms that are chemical free and care about the environment should be supported. It's more important to me to buy from companies that donate a portion of money to a cause I support Humane treatment of animals, environment protection, and other issues The rights of the human being.
There is a misleading statement in this item. Although the picture on the Web makes it look like you're getting a huge bag of rice, you really only get a cup. If you spend the same money you can buy a bigger bag on eBay or at a specialty store. I'd prefer to use the picture I took for Amazon web rather than the one I went to. And to top it all off, the bag had a slit on it which I believe is unsanitary, making it unfit for consumption. The item cannot be returned because it will not let me do it. I need help.
