I was so happy to find them back in stock now. Authentic Italian chefs tell you that Carnaroli rice is the absolute best for risotto, in both texture and flavor, so you should ask them about it if you're not familiar with it. Due to the non-mass production nature of this product it is hard to find it outside of Italy. This is a much better option than many of Until now, I had waited to review, as I was unsure about the packaging on arrival, so I wanted to warn others about it. It comes in a plain box with no marking of any kind. There's literally 10 pounds of rice in a plastic bag. The bag is placed inside a plain box and it's think that's why it's better value, and I will be able to deal with that. This seller has my trust, and I expect it to stay the same in the future. Finally, I would like to point out a bug that was mentioned The best way to keep rice (and flour) fresh for 24 hours is to put it in the freezer (for those of us who eat almost exclusively organic food) A minimum of 48 hours should be allowed before bringing the food into the A pantry moth (a nightmare) can invade your food if you don't follow these instructions. Afterward, I decant the resulting sauce into glass Mason jars with airtight Since my money is saved by not paying for fancy packaging that would still go in the trash, it's a win-win for me. for origin, I'm pretty sure it's from Italy and I'm ok with that, since anything that comes from there is glyphosate and GMO free, since Monsanto is banned in Italy. The carnaroli rice I purchased is longer grained and creamier than the other varieties, so I decided to try it. that I'm older, I believe that great risotto is as much a matter of technique as ingredients, and I haven't been able to compare arborio to carnaroli side by side blind (I'm 40-years-old. The winemaker has been in business for 15 years Due to lack of equal preparation and blind tasting, my preference will be determined by availability and price. I will update my review if I have an equal preparation and blind tasting later and a better understanding of how they compare.

There are disgustingly many moths in this room

I had three sealed containers I used the smallest one almost immediately then I did not cook risotto for a while and after a few months, I found the other two full of moths.

I think this is legitimate! I haven't cooked it yet, but comparing it to some high end Arborio rice and some high end Carnaroli rice I had, it seems genuine
