Split pea soup that's to die for! Yellow split peas (not green, though I'm not sure there's a taste difference) are used in traditional Swedish split pea soup (which is commonly served on Thursdays)
5/5

Yellow is a color that is sometimes difficult to come by. My grandmother cooked with salt pork, but I discovered a fantastic smoked pork shank at our local antique store. a classic butcher shop That had been stewed the day before to get the meat off the bone and to make stock with chicken bone broth. There was a lot of onion, celery, carrots, and other vegetables, and best of all, these peas were organic (grown in Canada), as were all of my other ingredients. Grandma's old Griswold cast iron 9 Dutch Oven (patent says 1920 on bottom) was used. Wow, a century! ) This is fantastic. Mrs. Paul T. is a retired teacher.

It Took Forever For Them To Get Soft, Possibly Because They Were Stored For Too Long Somewhere Along The Supply Chain
3/5

I had to pressure cook these for hours the first time I made them to get them soft. I thought my Instant Pot was broken, so I went out and purchased a new one. In my new Instant Pot, I cooked these for 20 minutes at high pressure. In the kitchen, I didn't use any salt and only used water. They were cooked, but still had a slight crunch to them. After 20 minutes of pressure cooking, split pulses should be very soft, according to my understanding. I'm not sure if they were stored too long somewhere along the supply chain or if this is just how things are in general.

It's got to be ancient
3/5

I've tried cooking these twice now, and the peas have not softened either time. br>I'm guessing they're quite old. Yes, the color is good. Organic, to be sure. br>However, even with a pre-existing pre-existing pre-existing pre-existing preexisting pre No soaking (which isn't necessary with yellow split peas), and no salt or acid. They didn't soften at all.

SOUP WITH SPLIT PEAS THAT'S DELICIOUS! I made soup with these yellow split peas, substituting yellow split peas for green split peas in my regular green split pea soup recipe
5/5

The taste is incredible. The flavor of yellow peas differs from that of green peas because they are not as sweet. more "earthy," which is difficult to describe but absolutely delicious. I'm going to buy some more of these to stock up on for future soup batches. Tastes great and is of excellent quality. I would strongly suggest it.

I was so happy with my purchase that I went ahead and ordered another one
5/5

These yellow peas were a hit with everyone. I put in another order. The feedback has been extremely positive, and the product has been of excellent quality. I don't have any issues. Soups are something I've been making a lot lately. Moong dal beans and other healthy grains are added to it. It's the ideal weather for a bowl of soup.

Great! This split peas recipe is one of my favorites
5/5

Because I couldn't find any at the store, I was a little hesitant to order them from Amazon. These, on the other hand, are fantastic! I've already used them to make two batches of vegetarian yellow split pea soup, both of which were delicious!.

yummy! For a long time, I've been looking for this pea to use in a family dessert
5/5

This one is the best; when the peas were fully cooked, the scent was wonderful and delicious. It makes me think of my grandmother and my childhood.

I'm very pleased with my purchase because it's tasty, healthy, and reasonably priced
5/5

This is an excellent product that makes a nutritious and delicious soup. I'm going to make a meal powder out of some of it to use as a veggie burger filler. It is far more cost effective to grind your own supplements in a Vitamix than to pay for supplements that have already been ground. Always look for non-GMO and organically grown products. These were an excellent value for money, with a high protein content. When I run out, I'll place another order.
