If you want the end result to be thick, you will need to plan accordingly. About a teaspoon of liquid to a large bowl is exactly what you'll need if you want jelly like consistency. Start with a little bit of it at a time to determine how much you need to use as it thickens quite quickly. You will know what amount to use right away.
It affects the color in a cloudy, almost milky way.

This helps it thicken when I make instant pudding from almond milk or yogurt from almond milk. Add mixture, then blend thoroughly. Do not add raw powder to liquid immediately since it will clump quickly.
