I read that plastic was allowed, but only in certain forms. It is so awful how you can smell and taste the plastic container in the syrup.
As far as I know, it's the syrup I grew up with. see the can on Ebay as a treasure to keep, but I would also like to keep the bottom of the can as a memorabilia. It used to be in our pantry as my Mom kept cans of it. My family lives on this maple syrup and it is far superior to Aunt Jemima, Log Cabin and other commercial brands, unless you want 100% pure Vermont maple syrup, Grade A not B. An average cost for that is about $27.

It is my pleasure to celebrate my 38th anniversary with my husband on October 3. In my memory, I remember my grandmother Mother in law is always bringing us bottles of King Syrup when they go to Maryland. She taught me to use it with waffles, baked beans, carrots, bbq sauce, and salmon every time they go. I was also told to be a chef in the kitchen and a best friend in every other room ). I'm glad to see that it seems.
As a child, I often had King Syrup at my Aunt's house in Virginia in the early 60s. A can of thick and sweet fruit puree was in front of me. My taste buds have changed since I was a child, but this stuff is awful! I don't know whether the recipe has changed or if the taste buds of my childhood have changed. I found the taste to be chemical or plastic-like and, despite my determination to like it, after eating a large stack of pancakes, I felt like I had been beaten down. Even after just a little taste, my kids would not eat it. "Yuck!" was the only thing they said. What was left was thrown away, so I did as you asked.
It is not the King Syrup itself that is bad rather, it is the $5 cost for a small bottle of syrup that an ordinary person can get from a grocery store for $1. 09. Between $ 6 and $ 10. A bottle that used to retail for $20 was absurd for that price.
Buyer beware!.
Not only do we use this syrup for waffles, pancakes, and our special French toast, but we also use it for many other The only solution is to stop trying! It's so good to see it I'm so happy!.
The seasoning, he believes, changes the flavor of the dish quite a bit (I think he's being dramatic!) In spite of that, I would love to see the product in a glass jar since we are trying to reduce our use of plastic.
A price that was so outrageous that I did not like it, I felt ripped off.
The only King syrup we can get down here is hard to find. I only disliked the price, which I thought was a bit steep.
