Xylitol has been difficult to find locally. Local markets either do not carry it or the packages are very small for a very high price. I have bought Xylitol on Amazon in the past, but that was a smaller package just to try it out. I had a few criteria for my next order. The Xylitol had to be made from trees and not corn cobs. If possible, it had to be made Also, I was thinking of getting a larger package since I am trying Xylitol in baking and experimenting with a 1/2 sugar to 1/2 Xylitol. It was just what I was looking for. The brand and packaging fit me just fine. I ordered and it arrived In contrast to many others, this package seals well after you open it, unlike so many others that don't. I was impressed by how fresh and consistent the xylitol tastes. Freshness is noted on the label so you know you're not getting something that has sat somewhere for a long time or taken a world cruise before it gets to you, a big plus in my opinion. As with anything, there are debates surrounding the use of Xylitol because there will always be different opinions, but I personally do find it an excellent replacement for processed white sugar and am glad to have it available. Would I buy this product again? Yes, absolutely. Yes, I will do that. As long as vendors and brands deliver quality products and meet my delivery deadlines, I tend to remain loyal. There is nothing I dislike about honey it is just too flavorful to substitute for the taste of clean honey. Honey as a substitute has too much flavor to me of its own. Sweet N Low, Stevia, Equal, Splenda, and many others are all sweeteners I have tried in baked goods, but never found one that I could take a bite of without vomiting. A few years later, Xylitol was invented! You can eat it without aftertaste at all Then and now. If you give me a spoonful, it tastes like sugar to me without fail. In addition to using it in tea (not a coffee fan), baked goods, and pretty much everything else that calls for sugar, I have also noticed that it works well. There is a little less sweetness from it when compared with sugar, so I tend to add just a little bit more to recipes. Xylitol has been mentioned to cause gastrointestinal upset, but I have never dealt with such an issue, nor has anyone else in my house, and we don't limit our intake of it. Honestly, I think this is a great quality product, which is why nothing has bothered us about it. Unless you get this product, I highly recommend purchasing xylitol made from 100% birch and produced in the United States, as much research as I did before buying it has pointed me to it.
