I opened one of the small aluminum packages and began opening and eating about a dozen of the nuts, and they looked awful and unappealing, and tasted even worse. Once removed from their shells, all of the nuts were a dark black color, and many of them were just crumbled bits of blackened mini pieces of nuts that looked and tasted hundreds of years old. They all tasted stale and bitter, so I double-checked the expiration date on the package, which stated that they were "good" until December 2018, and since we are now in June 2018, they should have tasted at least moderately fresh, but no, they were as stale and bitter and stale and awful as they could be. You will regret purchasing these nuts if you do.

I believe they do it because these packs are marketed to people who are concerned about their weight (due to the prominent 100-calorie label), whereas there are 1. It is not in the 5 oz package. These packages appear to be an attempt to reduce weight conscious by packing fewer nuts in a much larger bag.
Forget about the rest of them! There is no other brand that compares to Wonderful Pistachios! They were the freshest I've ever had, and I love the spicy garlic and pepper flavor! I bought six (40 oz) bags and gave them to friends and coworkers!! We're all huge fans of them! Excellent packaging and lightning-quick delivery! I'm going to get some more of these!.
Several packets contain what appear to be burned or rotten nuts, and I discovered a worm in a couple of them - They appear to be meal worms, but I'm not sure because they were dried out. Nonetheless, it's disgusting. I discovered problems with two of the individual packets - But I've only opened three of them so far! Terrible.
I took everything out and counted it several times when I got there. This isn't a joke. As evidence, I snapped a picture. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>Aside from the fact that I was owed one packet of pistachios, one of the 11 packets had soggy and stale pistachios. How did this happen, once again? The pistachios in the individual packages are nothing like the ones in the 7oz packages, which I prefer. Bottom line: Do not purchase this product; it is not the same as the other Wonderful Pistachios.
