Questions & Answers

What is the difference between roasted and grilled?

When I want them roasted, I just toast them in the oven for a bit until they are a bit crispy. Then they are ready to be used in recipes like cookies.

Where do the pecans come The seller mentions they are "sourced" in TX, but are they made in the USA?

There is a stamp on the front of the bag that says product of US and Mexico.

I like the taste, but there are some drawbacks
4/5

Purchasing at least 6 bags of these pecan pieces, I just couldn't resist. I think some of the bags are great with great flavors and freshness, but I found it strange that 3 of the bags contained a lot In one of the bags was nearly a cup of what I would call pecan flour or crumbs. Some of it was used in a cheesecake crust (after mixing it with almond flour in the recipe) and it tasted OK except that pecans contain a lot more oil than almonds and it was Overall, it was better than just tossing that much of the nuts. Except for that, it was a good experience for me. In the future, perhaps I'll be able to find a recipe with pecan meal.

It varies from quality to quality
3/5

Pecan pieces from Nature's Own have been my favorite for quite a while. It has always been a good tasting product, but its quality varies from year to year. It was once that the pieces all were about 5mm-inches in diameter There were several times when most of the nuts were pecan quarters. You can break up those pieces into smaller pieces if you like. A package I received once was about half pecan quarters and half pecan dust, which was really not worth what I paid (see the As you can see from the picture with the sorted pecans and dust, I had about 1/3 of the package left when I took it. You can see that the volume of dust is about the same as the volume of pecans, so this included a lot of wasteful space in the package. I received my next package (2nd picture) and it was of the usual high.

It was half of the bag that contained nothing but As much as half of the bag, if not more, consisted of tiny pieces that looked like flour
3/5

The flavor was good, but bad value, since the taste was very good, but the quality was not. After grinding all the powdered pecans through a colander, I bagged them up to use in baking cakes and pie crusts to provide a pecan flavoring. It worked well in baking because it had a very good pecan flavor. Although I bought pecan pieces, not pecan flour, I did not purchase pecan flour. Despite the fact that the flavor was good, and for the most part the weight of the bag was too small of pieces, corn meal in consistency, and I would have choked on it if I tried to eat it by spoonful, I will never purchase this brand again.

The other half of the bag is pecan Pecans are extremely hard to find right now which is why I've been purchasing Nature Eats Pecan Pieces during the pandemic
3/5

We were very pleased with the price and the quality of the products up until the recent batch where we had to buy 3 bags at a time. Even though I noticed the dust immediately, I thought well we are in a pandemic and I just have to go along I discovered that it is much worse than it appears almost half of the bag was dust. I also tried sifting it in my colander, but it took forever and also you still have dust (my garbage disposer actually filled up with it) just not as It was disappointing because Nature Eats Pecans are the best I've ever had. I will contact Amazon and ask for a refund, but I won't be buying them again. Until next time, stay safe and healthy!.

I am so happy to have found this! It used to be I would buy whole pecan halves as a snack at Sam's
5/5

But I began noticing that a large percentage of them were actually just pecan pieces, and the flavor was not affected I began searching for pecan pieces online and found this. It was a better price, it was delivered directly to my door, and it was still a delicious The next time I buy, I will purchase.

The texture is strange, and the taste is off
3/5

The texture of these pieces is not crunchy, as I have found with all the other pecan pieces I have bought elsewhere. I've never seen them before - they're almost chewy, and have a dusty taste like if they were older.

I am pleased with the quality of the product
5/5

These have been on my shopping list more than once. This repeat customer speaks volumes about the product. The pecans are fresh, very consistent in size and shape - I would use them exclusively for my snacking needs. A very high level of quality and consistency is crucial A quality product. Additionally, I think they are a great value for money. This is a company I highly recommend.

The pecan pieces are nicely cut to a small size and taste delicious
5/5

I appreciate that I don't have to chop these into smaller pieces. I find that they are perfect for all my baking and cooking Despite the fact that they are fresh in their zip bag, I keep them in the fridge because it is scorching.
