Reviewing products is rare for me, but I wanted to let fellow Amazonians know about this defective product. The first bag arrived opened, so I had to return it. I found the Trader Joe's product (on the right) greatly superior to the second, sealed bag. Unfortunately, the rancid nuts were out of date and rancid their price is the same as Trader Joe's. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but only a taste is worth a tome. I hate it! This macadamia nut motor oil looks like I hope you have a wonderful day.

19th of July. I just returned a bag of raw macadamias that had gone rancid. It now says that their inventory is unavailable, so they may have a problem with it right now. A lot of credit goes to this seller for not continuing to sell spoiled goods. They were truly honest. From Amazon, I have bought a variety of Sincerely Nuts products and have I will be repurchasing this product as soon as fresh stock becomes available. Here's a tip for Selller Inventory is being sold at a lower price! * Bought by might want to try Roasted salted macadamia's instead I have had this brand roasted and the shelf life is much longer. They are also great for snacking and are fairly priced. The nuts need to stay in the fridge to remain fresh.

We received raw and unsalted chocolate as advertised, plus a large amount, which was great! Roasting them at 250 degrees for an hour and stirring them every 10 minutes was tricky, but it worked I only had to wait 15 minutes, and they turned In order to compare, we tried them raw as well. We preferred roasted ones much better, but they tasted fine raw. The pros - Size has been consistent, large, and fairly large - No oil used in the packaging - ''Fresh'', *'Cons'' - 0 pieces of the bag were in it. Weighing results in a loss of more than an ounce. I don't find it as alarming as I might have thought, and I don't find it to be terribly troublesome. As soon as I find this to be happening consistently, I will update this review. I-n- d It contained about half a dozen halved nuts. If you are looking for 100% whole nuts, then just pick them out. It is also possible to hire someone to perform the task. It tastes different from the normal macadamia nut taste that I'm used to. I bought a 3lb bag two months ago, and the nuts weren't terrible, but they weren't the regular macadamia nut taste that I've encountered. Another 3lb bag I just received tasted horrible as well. So I gave them another try, bought another 3lb bag, and they are unpleasant as well. It's hard to tell what stale mac smells like. It's like eating wax, but the nuts are stale and the ones that aren't probably are too. These nuts taste like stale nuts.

I gave the first order five stars based on my experience with it. As a result, I took a star off this order because I didn't see the same good quality throughout. Most of the nuts are medium size or a bit smaller, but since I make butter with them in a food processor, that's not a problem. So there's nothing to complain about here. The butter is good and the nuts are edible. The roommate who is a 'supertaster' thought that the bag smelled a little off & I think I noticed something similar, even if not particularly strong, but I do have a cast iron stomach so it was not a problem for me. In addition to the price being a little less than most advertised macadamia nuts, I would recommend the OH NUTS brand if you are looking for the best macadamia nuts.
