Questions & Answers

This recipe contains rice flour and sea salt among its ingredients. What does that mean? It is the first time I've ever noticed that in nutritional yeast. ?

A few years ago, I bought Frontier brand yeast on Amazon and was disappointed with its quality. A few years ago, I had purchased Frontier's yeast directly from the Frontier website and was happy with it. Since Amazon had it for a cheaper price, I decided to give it a shot. After I made the purchase that was disappointing, Amazon refunded my money. As part of my investigation of Amazon products, I reached out to Frontier to discuss quality control. I did get a response, but it was vague and less than satisfactory. The one that my sister likes is made by Twin Labs. I tried several brands of yeast before settling on my health food store's own brand.

The yeast is 3 times as much in organic versions - I always buy organic. How much is it worth? Why do organic products have such a better taste and smell?

It is my understanding that organic nutritional yeast is not produced in the United States. It is the only organic nutritional yeast that has found its way into the US, so the high price is more than likely related to international shipping, additional middlemen, and the German market. The demand for the product will hopefully increase enough to encourage companies in the U.S. to enter the market.

Can you tell me how many carbohydrates are in a cup?

1 cup has about 16 grams of carbs presumably all of which is fiber. Based on 1/4 cup having 4 grams carbs (fiber 4 grams, sugar 0 grams) I would assume 1 cup has about 4 grams carbs.

What is the fortification of this?

It's just the yeast. They don't list it.

Trust is usually what I have with Frontier Co We are fans of Op products and have used them for many My excitement at finding large flake organic Nooch was so great that I did not read The second thing to notice is that these flakes contain 250 mg of SALT. The likes of this have never happened to me. It will just be another thing I have to check in the future. Thirdly, and most importantly, this package cannot be returned because it has not been opened. It was a total It's SUCH a bummer!.

Neither the ingredients list nor the recipe are available. Since we are buying a B vitamin rich nutritional yeast, we can logically trust that we are purchasing just that! That is why I purchased it, but it was misrepresented to me and then betrayed me. Taking a B vitamin supplement will actually cause a deficiency in carbohydrates and white rice, so why make nutritional yeast anti- B vitamin Addition of rice flour makes the dish more nutritional? The problem has never occurred to us when I have bought many different kinds of nutritional yeast. Our pleasure at a brand that we have always enjoyed has been ruined by poor quality.

Having used this product for about a week now, I can attest to its effectiveness. Since the high salt content is unhealthy for me and the flavor is off, it doesn't add the flavor I need to keep It was a very disappointing experience for me. The next time I purchase Frontier's Nutritional Yeast, I will purchase another variety.
