Questions & Answers
Simply follow the directions in your recipe; one of the first items should tell you what temperature to bake at and how long to bake it for.
You can certainly do so. as well as the fact that you are unable to do so. My husband can't eat certain grains because they cause kidney stones, so I use sorghum instead of brown rice; you can also use brown rice, oat flour, and plantain flour. Any flour will do, but not a flour blend that has already been mixed. Once your starter is active, you can try adding it to your blended flour to see what happens. Rather than the other way around, it should be the other way around. Contact the product's creator; she was very helpful in providing suggestions and even a few recipes! Every Sunday morning, we have sourdough pancakes.

Suzie recommended that I use Sweet Sorghum, which I did. The starter has only been working for three days, so I still have four days before I attempt bread. After trying the bread, I'll write a second review. and will not weigh the bread's flavor against the starter's ability. I mean, the cook gets half the credit, but also half the blame if the results don't turn out as expected. Suzie, thank you so much for all your help - Especially during this pandemic, when some people seem to have forgotten what it means to be 'civilized. '.
This is the fifth day of preparing the starter. It was bubbling and smelling like sour dough bread on the third day! Thank you for the active starter; I'm looking forward to making bread with it this weekend! Right now, I'm going over some recipes with my wife. It was a lot of fun! Wow! br>br>Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wo I've never had a better gluten-free bread. Now that the kids have been spoiled, they demand sourdough toast for breakfast every day. I've tried a lot of different flour blends, both store-bought and recipe-bought, and so far the best are the King Arthur flour blend and the blend from the Artisanal GF Cooking cookbook, while Bobs Mill and America's Test Kitchen were too gummy for us. I'll continue to do so. The sour dough starter hasn't died yet. 😁.
It's simple to get up and running, and it's also simple to keep up with. Suzie has clearly stated everything in the instructions! My go-to biscuit is a sour dough drop biscuit, which is both delicious and simple to make. Suzie is also fantastic to work with; I had a few questions about the order and she was very patient in answering them! I would strongly suggest it.
I bought two of them. I followed the instructions to the letter and neither of them "grew. " All of the ingredients were fresh, and I followed the water instructions exactly. I tried both packets to see if it was the packets that were the problem, but neither of them worked. I was extremely disappointed. I had to remind the vendor that I had ordered two because they only sent one at first. The return period had expired, so no refund was given. It was a good lesson.
This starter was a complete waste of money for me. When this packet arrived without instructions, I was stumped as a new sourdough baker. What a colossal squandering of resources. I tried to find directions on the internet, but they didn't work. This is not a good place to spend your money.
br>Fast, and I'm looking forward to starting my sourdough adventure.
