This would be considered a high ratio shortening, wouldn't it? Buttercream frosting is what I'd like to make with it. ?

This is what I use in place of Crisco every time to make buttercream frosting! Using 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup Palm shortening, 4 cups powdered sugar, and a few tablespoons of milk, I make banana pancakes. It has the right consistency and the shortening flavor is neutral for frosting (from Wilton recipe). Coconut oil is high in flavor and has a low melting point, so I used to use it instead.

It is an odd little obsession I have, the never-ending cycle of it There is no end to my search for the perfect buttercream icing recipe. I need one that is not too sweet, is able to withstand the heat and humidity of Florida, and is still stiff enough to pipe well. I found a recipe from a chemist who claimed to have made the "perfect" buttercream icing, as well as several reasons for using this particular shortening. have ordered the recipe three times and tried it on each occasion. The taste of the icing will certainly be excellent using this shortening, however, it will make the icing so thin and difficult to pipe, and it will surely not stand up to the Florida heat and humidity that unfortunately must be faced. So I turned my kitchen into an ice box (using the AC) to add a layer of cooling to the process in order to ensure that the icing I was trying to create would not be too warm. I really like the flavor, and the shortening imparts a really silky smooth texture with such a silky smooth taste. However, I cannot recommend it to bakers who live in the same climate as me. It may work for what I need it for in another climate, but not for bakers who live in similar climates. As I continue my quest, I find the following.

My gluten free tortillas would not be complete without this! You will find they are very pliable! Using 1/3 cup Quinoa flour, 1/4 cup Coconut flour, 2 T honey, 2 Tablespoons Spectrum Naturals shortening, 1/2 t salt, 3/4 teaspoon xanthin gum, and 3 T Spectrum Naturals organic shortening, you can create a delicious loaf. Roll dough into a tight ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for 30 minutes Take out sandwich bag carefully and carefully add to saucepan with coconut oil on medium heat, one at a time, first press inside tortilla press to 1/8 inch and then add to preheated skillet, place cover on and wait 45 minutes Invert plate, cover tortillas stacked with inverted plate, store 4 at a time and cook 2 minutes each side, brush with margarine, flip carefully with spatula, brown spots on each side, may bubble Put the wax paper between the food and make sure it stays fresh for five days. Spectrum Naturals shortening was used in these delicious tortillas, which received many compliments.

This is a great product. It is only the packaging that I have a problem with. In the top of the tub, the top sort of lays on top of the tub. It does not involve a seal. Due to this, the second delivery had been opened (inside the plastic bag), and some shortening had.

I never want to go back to using Crisco. I've made everything I've made with this and it's fantastic! It is impossible for me to tell whether I made my frosting with butter or Spectrum because neither knows or can even guess what it is. This does not leave any greasy film on the mouth or a taste in it A while back I made biscuits with it as well, and they turned out to be the best I've ever made. They tasted awesome and were so light and fluffy! There is no doubt that I am hooked on this product and will continue to use and purchase this brand only.

Shortening derived from palm oil that is produced sustainably

Shortening is one of my favorite baking ingredients, but I travel a lot and I need natural alternatives. The company assures me that they are only buying from producers who are committed to sustainable organic palm oil production. I was initially concerned about the palm oil because I did not want to increase the destruction of rain forests for my cookies. I have had to adjust some of my recipes to make use of less of this shortening because it is lighter and fluffier than regular vegetable oil Pie crusts and cookies taste good when made with it.

It looks like I'm going to be a new customer. Contains no genetically modified organisms. This is a non-hydrogenated product. The materials used are sustainably The organic way. As I had hoped, this is what I got. The chocolate buttercream I just made with this scooped like it was hard and brittle, but it actually mixed Taking a bite out of my frosting is a pleasure for the first time in a long time. It is free of the aftertaste hydrogenated and soy-based shortenings leave behind. I also do not notice an oily tongue when I eat it. I am not sure if it is a placebo effect, but it is nice.

This is one to keep. Cooking with it sounds amazing! I'm looking forward to trying.

I should point out that it is not alcoholic). In summary, it was a good experience. Obviously I use high-quality Dutch cocoa, so that matters as well. )
But if I were to make vegan frosting again and the birthday person preferred shortening, this would be my go-to recipe!.
