Hello, Pigs can not live on only grass, so not just grass feed is the answer, they are fed both grain and grass, their stomachs are different to cattle, so they need some grain as well for vitamins. If they were fed only grass then they would not grow well. Brian, thank you for clarifying your question so well, I appreciate it.
Obviously, you can spread this on bread, but it wouldn't be much fun. (For bread I recommend a good Norwegian or Icelandic butter! When I make a roux for Creole cooking, I use lard. I buy it for making pastries and for making roux for pastries. It is difficult to make pastries with most of the lard available in the supermarket, because it has a strong pork flavor and smell, even though it is suitable for deep-frying. A great source for pastries is the lard from the organs of the pig. A lard like this is simply disgusting.
I apologize for the confusion, but this listing is for 1 pound in a container as in the photo, and we also have a listing with 2 pounds in a food safe bag, so you get two bags with one pound each, thank you, Brian

There is no better way to say it. The partially hydrogenated stuff you find in the store is nothing compared to this. Compared to that, it feels very different. A lard crust recipe my grandmother and mother used is the recipe I use once a year to make pies. In comparison with garbage from the store, using lard is also greatly more expensive but it makes the occasion more memorable instead of the usual garbage. I can't imagine what it would be like if you hadn't had In addition to that, it is a healthy fat. You can find information about it online! The butter I eat is not as good as good butter, so I don't eat it daily.
The price was reasonable, but shipping was very expensive.
This product caught my eye in a search of an honest reviewer. I now own it and recommend it to others. It surprised me to find out that it was made in my own county. Can you tell me why it doesn't appear on the shelves at my local market?.
The choice is yours if you're seeking a pure, durable, and odor-free If you are looking for flavored lard that retains the characteristics of a quality lard but is not as expensive as leaf lard, this might be the answer. In our search for a better quality lard than Armour, we found a few options. The smell of Armour lard is a bit "porky," which is not our favorite. The lard is hydrogenated, which we do not like.
They need to ship it in dry ice or something during warm months in order to prevent damage. Since the seal on the box was not the best, it leaked a little when I received it since it was completely melted when I received it. When I first received it, it was a greasy mess.
When I purchased lard for the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, the lard added a great flavor and I didn't notice a greasy or overpowering taste. In total, I bought two containers from this seller and I'll definitely do business with them again in the future.
This is the first time I have used pork lard and I'm very happy with the results 5) Tastes good and smells yummy 1) shipping costs are high.
In addition to the original order, I have ordered another 2 of these to make sure I have some on hand always. I will freeze one when it arrives. I prefer this pork lard to.
