The liquid is poured into half gallon mason jars, so I do not use bags. Historically, there has been at least one year between the expiration date and the next. The brand I use has never entailed any problems for me.

There were more to them than just steel cuts. There had probably been a slight roll. In the directions, less water was used than in actual steel-cut This was a difficult task for me.

I like this product but you do not have a recrossing bag that works. To recluse, you have to use a clothes pin.

A couple of small rocks found in 2 packages - Injured a tooth and destroyed it

I would advise you not to buy. I urge you not to purchase this product! It has been about five months since we bit down There are six black rocks in a filling and they have caused damage. It will not be refunded to us because we are anxious to eat it. There were no rocks in the oatmeal, but it tasted great and was gluten-free.
