Hi, the texture isn't suitable for that kind of application. As opposed to regular steel oats, it is not as coarse. The best use is in adding fibre to certain foods, such as I love yogurt.
Although I could not find any information about lectin content, it does have lectins like most grains, so I would assume the amount is the same as in most oat brans. If you have a specific diet, you should research to find out how much you consume.
The text has not been amended. In the package, all that is listed is "oat bran."

Week's "Week Cholesterol Cure". It was years ago when Kowalski was president. When I was young and had high cholesterol, I didn't pay attention to it. As a person in their 70s, my doctor is pushing me to reduce my Total Cholesterol count and because I have trouble taking statins, I have been resisting. While I took the prescription, I am not a good pill taker, so when I do take it, I still have pain in my joints and other This was a book I remembered, and as fate would have it, I ran across it again at a thrift store. As far as my cholesterol is concerned, I'm being proactive, and Dr. Kowalske says my new regimen of Oat Bran and Niacin will do wonders for me. Although I've already started paying attention to my own blood tests, it's too early to say what the results will be. Amazing book, I highly recommend it. I urge you to buy it! I also ordered a case of Oat Bran through Amazon since it wasn't readily available in stores. (Amazon, please know how much I appreciate you! Awwwwwwwww. ) So oh so. I encourage you to buy the book and to also purchase the Oat Bran. These two titles are available for purchase.
As part of my effort to control my cholesterol, I consume oat bran every day. The oatmeal is great for breakfast, I usually add dried fruit and nuts to enhance the You can make muffins from it too, a healthy and satisfying snack that is also high in fiber. The banana muffin recipe can be adapted for pumpkin or apple muffins, pineapple or sometimes even carrot cake muffins by switching out the banana for canned pumpkin, apple sauce (use less apple sauce), grated carrots or crushed pineapple, with coconut instead of nuts. Experiment. Dry ingredients should be mixed together. - 1 cup oat bran + 1/4 cup oat flour + 1 t baking powder + 1/4 cup brown sugar (you can heap it on top if you prefer a sweeter treat)
Optional You may use any sort of nuts as long as they are 1/4 C. In the same way, raisins or other dried fruits can also be dried.
A blender or whisk can be used. There will be a thick batter, similar to The oat bran will absorb some of the liquid, allowing the muffins to rise. Preheat the oven to 425 and lightly oil your muffin pan while you wait for the oat bran to absorb the liquid. In 12 muffin cups, fill about a third of the way full, then bake for 15 to 17 minutes (paper muffin cups don't work well, they stick to the muffins). Place on a baking rack to cool after 5 minutes in the pan. Up to three or four days can be kept in a zip lock bag. You'll enjoy it!.
1/2 cup of Bobs Oat Bran (uncooked) and 1 cup of milk with a banana and apple wedge, apricot, fig, blueberries, nuts and blueberries sprinkled on top. Enjoy Since I was a child, I have eaten oat bran and I remain devoted to it. The Bob's brand is a little bit different from other oat bran products. It looks like Bob's is raw (not toasted at the factory) oat bran, although I am not 100% sure. I found Bob's in the refrigerator section of health food stores, so I'm pretty sure this is oat bran. Oat bran is loaded with more nutrients when it is raw instead of when it is cooked. Below you will find my quick Bob’s Raw Oat Bran breakfast recipe
- One third cup of oat bran (raw from bag)* and one tablespoon of honey Mix 1/2 cup of milk with 2 teaspoons of sugar - You can dice up some fruit (bananas, apples, apricots, nuts, etc. ) Get it raw and eat it. The cook does not have to prepare anything.
Despite the fact that it is a good product as are all products from Bob's Red Mill, A $20 bill was presented to me. There are 4 bags of 1 pound each for $40, so it is $5 per bag. The price per pound is $40. $1 worth of organic oat bran can be found at your local health food store. At the store I usually go to, the price is 49 cents per pound. The Bob's R M oat bran product is gluten free, but it is It was convenient, so I guess I paid for that. There will not be a second purchase of this item.
I emailed Bob's Red Mill asking why this is the case, and have not heard back in five.
The oat bran I eat has been around for many years now. Over the years, I have had 1/3 of a cup with 2T flax meal, some cinnamon, a little organic sugar, and almond milk for breakfast. After using oat bran and flax meal in smoothies for six months, we found that the ratio was about the same. Sealing the bags allows me to keep the oat bran fresh for longer. It is a pain not to be able to buy it in bulk (probably also at Bob's Red Mill), but having it delivered is great. Two boxes of four packages are on their way to me. If you want to know how this compares to the bulk I used to buy, that would be a good question. The cost of doing this is much higher. It's all about convenience for me.
Unlike oat bran, I do not consider this to be oat. As described in the description, the products are labeled "Oat Bran Hot Cereal", but that was not listed on the bags. "Oat Bran" was all that was said in the description. As far as I can tell, it looks like ground My attempt to make it like I do with the real Oat Bran I normally purchase from my local health food store today failed. The product became a gelatinous mass with clumps which would not dissolve, as another reviewer noted. If it were up to me, I would As a result of the description not matching what is written on the bag, I only gave it three stars.
Even though I cannot eat grains, I enjoyed eating this as a breakfast treat in the morning. It was easy to make and just before it was time for me to eat, I would add some organic non-fat milk and molasses, as well as fresh blueberries. I enjoyed it very much! It sometimes served as a side dish in a mason jar, which I also took to work.
