It has a reputation for poor quality control, so Bob's tends to suffer from it. The products from the company were usually rancid before the pandemic hit. Due to the increasing consumption of foods at home, people are clearing their products faster, and freshness is no longer a concern. Although this buckwheat product crosses contaminated with cacao power, they have added it to the buckwheat product. As soon as you cook it, the smell of chocolate is released. Additionally, the product contains dirt that will nashes inside your mouth. I have worked as a lead chef at 2 different restaurants and 2 bakeries in Austin. I have 3 restaurants in my family and have owned 3 restaurants myself. Bob's is coming out with lame products as we have come to expect from them. This is definitely a junk product. In all the years I have been using organic buckwheat flour for crepes, I have never seen cacao powder or dirt anywhere. It is also about 3x the price of a standard price. Due to a tight schedule, I was not able to get to the store, so what the heck? My mistake is now clear to me. A ten-dollar bill in the trash.
