The Amazon listing did not indicate this product was artificially sweetened with malitol, which I find unsatisfactory. As far as I'm concerned, I don't actively seek out products that are artificially sweetened. It is better to drink guava paste pure without adding sugar or artificial sweeteners, as it is quite sweet. On Amazon, it is particularly irritating to buy a sweetened product by mistake because it is not described sufficiently. However, I'll be sure to stay away from Iberia's products in the future.

There is no added sugar to this product! The fruit is low in sugar, and this is a good option for anyone who wants to eat guava paste! As for the flavor, the guava paste is still sweet and not so sweet, but it is not overly sweet either! Sugar is only contained in three grams of every 40 grams of food! It's true that if you are used to eating normal guava paste, your palate will note the difference but the flavor will appeal to your body

Choosing this option is a good idea. There is no as strong a flavor in this as I'm used to from other brands, and it certainly does not taste as fresh as usual. In addition, it isn't too sweet either, so if you enjoy guava treats, I would recommend this one.

In Cuba, I used this guava paste to make pastelitos, a sweet Since I purchased the no sugar added version, I did not need to add any extra sugar to it. The next time I buy, I'm definitely going to buy.
