I had forgotten I had this in my fridge. I appreciate you reminding me of it. It's something my husband and I used just once in over a year so we must not have really enjoyed it. The label on this product states that "The only ingredients are goat milk, pure cane sugar, and baking soda.". Once opened, keep in the refrigerator. The consistency is perfect. I wish you could taste my food. I first learned about this caramel from Cook's Illustrated, and I'm glad I was not disappointed. It has the perfect consistency, and is sweet and rich. There was not too much goaty stuff As a dipping sauce for apples and in baking, I have used it many times. It was a hit with kids. Special occasions call for an expensive gift, but it's worth it.
I love the taste of this- Unlike some caramels (usually those with chemicals in them), it does not have any weird aftertaste. If you understand the ingredients, you can read them. Vanilla is, of course, very creamy and nice tasting. Not only that, but the consistency is perfect. It can be warmed in the microwave if you want it to be more liquid (for drizzling, for example). Whenever I have some of my favorites drinks, it's just the perfect rim (as in the photo above). It is served with Vanilla Stoli and sparkling water. My only experience with it is as a cocktail rim and as a dip for apple slices. I have not tried to cook with it, however. I was looking for exactly what you provided.
It is the best. I bought the Original and Bourban, both great, but the goat milk is better. It doesn't have an odd taste, just a delightful caramel flavor, and the quality is great. I will buy again. This is a wonderful addition to your morning coffee, you'll.
Most of the coffee shops in the region are not able to accommodate me for that reason. My husband and I started making lattes at home last year. It was easy to make pumpkin spice lattes, peppermint mochas were no problem for me, but there was one latte I could never master, salted caramel lattes. The Fat Toad Farm caramel sauce is the best I've tried. I've tried every caramel sauce out there, but none managed to give me that flavor I was after. There is no other like this! It's rich and creamy, and it's thick. I have to say that this is the only caramel sauce I've ever tried that held its own when mixed in with my Guittard In fact, I can probably get a larger jar of another brand for the same price, but this flavor would not be available. The fact that goat milk is used here makes me so happy. I cannot consume cow milk due to stomach issues. My world has been rocked by the salted bourbon flavor so far but I plan to try a few other flavors as well. I'm sipping on my first salted caramel mocha latte made at home after purchasing my second of what I'm sure will be many more!.
The caramel sauce we make is so much smoother and richer than other corn sugar based caramel sauces we buy at the store. Neither one of them is bad in fact, both are great. I personally prefer the salted bourbon flavor.
