* Hi Breanna, we only use red palm oil that has been cold pressed, filtered and processed without the use of any chemicals or industrial refinement processes. The processing of our virgin palm oil keeps all the nutritional aspects intact. However, there is no scientifically defined grade. This means that virgin oil is an oil that has not been processed with any industrial refining or chemicals, thus preserving its nutritional aspects. Happy eating! Since I stopped using products made with palm oil in my house after learning about the destruction of orangutans in Indonesia (the Indonesian government even banned DiCaprio for speaking up about this), I was delighted to learn other places produce the product with eco-friendly alternatives. The brands that have products with palm oil in their composition should become more mindful of it, by sourcing from the right sources and by telling us where the oil is sourced, so that I can continue to use their products.
